Seat comfort and support Question

Have you tried one of these for you Explorer ST seats? I own a 2025 Bronco Raptor and the seats are probably as aggressive as your ST. I'm 6'2" and 230lbs and a veteran with a myriad of injuries (back, neck, knees, nerve, etc.) I'm not gonna give up my Raptor so I needed a work around from the bolster on left side causing my foot to go numb on long drives. This alleviates the problem because it makes the seat sit flatter and softens it for my lower back. It's portable and worth a try.

Interesting...as a 6'3", 225lb former lumber yard forklift operator, this might be just what I need. My back is all kinds of messed up. I love driving my Bronco, but sometimes after 45 minutes to an hour driving my right shoulder will start to burn and my arm will go numb because it's resting on the armrest in the middle. I have to place my arm by my side between me and the center console to alleviate the problem. I have a 10 to 12 hour drive to the OBX coming up soon and I very well might check this out. Thanks.

I’m interested in checking those out. I can tell you all the ones I had for my previous vehicle. But the Explorer seat is 21 inches I think wide overall. So at the end of the day the seat cushion would be a little bit short unless they have a little bit longer one or wider one I should say. But I’m interested. The thing with the ST line is that it is very aggressive in terms of the bolsters. It’s very thin in the middle and firm on the sides

Desert Does It makes these seat jackers that lift the front of the seat a bit. Cheap enough and made a big difference in comfort and staying seated in rough roads. In general good seats though.

I'm 72, sat in a lot of seats. The Bronco is the first one where I've had to get a seat cushion (Cushion labs) because after just 30 min, my right thigh is killing me!!! Some have jacked, I just found the cushion an easy way out. It works. And I've tried going without it, and pain in 30 min. Don't know why, don't know why only the right side. Others have said the same. So you know.

I ended up buying an OBX SAS. My main reason was I wanted to make sure to get the electric seats. They offer more adjustability (move up and down) They are available in the BL, but that put most of the BL models at about $5K more than an OBX.

You do give up some of the BL features like rails, steel bumpers, sway bar disco. Though for me, it's my DD, so I wanted the nicest seats and interior. I prefer the carpet to absorb some of the sound. I'll still probably add the 3W mats, but really like the look and feel of the OBX interior.

I would've preferred the rails over the plastic OBX steps. Though my wife and 12yo are short, so insist on steps. Eventually I might get rails that are also steps. I've also seen that many are selling the OEM rails for almost nothing ($50). I see you can add steps to those, so that could be an option.

Sheepskin seat covers help my sciatica in my MGV Badlands seats. I regularly do 500+ miles between WA and MT without much issue.

Raising the front of my seat with a stack of 3/8 washers helped immensly as well.

I encourage sitting in both seats and adjust. See which is more comfortable. It's hard to tell on a test drive, but still worth comparing. I'm 6' 175 lbs. I figure shorter might be easier to work with.

Duuuuuude that’s a beautiful seat. So I checked with Ford and it turns out that the ST line has the exact same form as the active which is strange because when I sit in the active it feels more flush but when I sit in the ST line which is the car I have it feels sunken in the middle and firm on the sides. I wonder if it’s the materials that are on the seat as well. But it is caused a lot of pain

I can say the seats in my Badlands are way better than the seats in my wife’s Subaru Crosstrek. Something between the S650 and the Bandlands as far as a seat would be awesome. S650 has some cushion, Bronco has good support. Not sure about a highway distance drive but a little added cushion would be nice in the Bronco for long drives.

I am looking at the Outer Banks trim with sound deadening in the ceiling and the B and O stereo. I also would like a step up so that’s what I’m looking at as well. Do you all have the Outer Banks trim or what do you all have
