I was at the event and I can tell you this Bronco is a step up from everything else we have currently. The 3.0L which I told viewers over a year ago was coming will NOT be the same horse power as Raptor. I expect 360-370hps. I was told a year ago the 2.7L is going away and the 3.0L will take its pace in the line up but I wouldnt expect this till 28.
Guess your wrong!!!!

Those are just the specs for the current (2026) overall Bronco lineup, not the Filson.

-Maximum of 418hp (if you get the Braptor)
-Up to 7 different available drive modes (depending on the model)
-And max towing is up to 4500lbs (once again, if you get the Braptor)

Yeah I don’t think they’ve released any hard numbers like that yet for the filson. It may be a little while

The upscale demographic Ford is after with this trim is (mostly) not interested in raw power and HP numbers. They’ll want smooth, reliable performance in all conditions, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s detuned (a bit) vs the more aggressive Raptor. Different personality buyer, different personality trim = likely a different feel to the driving experience.

Yeah it wouldn’t really surprise me either to see slightly lower numbers.
But at the same time, Lincoln’s mostly have higher power numbers and it’s a similar demographic there.

They can very easily smooth out the power without lowering the overall number.

The hilariously awesome flare of revs my 2026 BRaptor does on downshifts in Sport mode would probably freak Lincoln people out!

Why would they axe the 2.7L? They make a zillion of those motors for the F-150.

Simplify production and supply. No need to assemble two different motors when they’re basically identical. Easy enough to just put the 2.7 turbos on the 3.0 for regular production and then have the Raptor models with the bigger turbos. Kind of how they have the 3.5 H.O. that has a closed deck and some other nuances but doesn’t cost a ton extra in supply variation.

I suppose so, but you could make the same argument for the 2.0/2.3 and evidently they saw enough value the in the latter to fully redo it for the MPC architecture.

I never could figure out why Ford offers bored or stroker versions of their engines as part of their standard lineups, always struck me as odd.

Truth. No need for a refresh, really. Bronco still establishing itself in the broader marketplace. And PS: I‘d guess there is next-to-zero broader market demand for 37s on the Bronco and 40s on the Raptor. While a not uncommon mod here, the vast majority of the buyers Ford is going after (with the Filson edition, especially) won’t even take the thing off-road.
Not sure about that. Plenty of people seem to be interested in going to 37s for looks. I'd bet hard cash that a tire package with 37s would sell more than the V8s people beg for.
