Up until a few days ago, it was supposed to start production on the week of 5–17….. basically in about a week and a half……….. today it says the week of 5 / 11. And…….. It also states in production, but today is only 5 / 5. It’s not a crisis or anything. I’m just trying to better understand it. Thanks.

So your original production scheduled date is an estimate. That's all it ever is.

So what happened when I ordered my truck, I was given an estimated production date.
It switched to 'In Production' about two weeks early, but then a day or two later went back to 'scheduled' with an even later production date.

As it was explained to me, this first 'in production' status was actually the build sheet being released to the plant for component procurement. When it went back to 'scheduled,' my window sticker was also available.

After about a month (mind you this was for a Super Duty, I don't think Broncos have the delays that those do), the scheduled date got moved up, then it went in production and was actually built about a week early. The window sticker also updated to reflect the new build date.

Thank you. When and how can I see the window sticker? Thanks!

The link above takes you to the site you can enter your VIN (which if you have a production date you should have).

There is another link floating around on this and other sites that actually take you to FordDirect (which is what the site above is actually linking to), and if the window sticker is available it'll show up - otherwise you'll get a message that it's unavailable at this time.

Thank you, I got my window sticker.
On the Sticker - look at the 'Blend Date'. That's the actual day of the week they will potentially START assembly (blending all the parts). You're getting close!

Blend date is 5/11. Ford used to say “in production” no sooner than the blend date but I think they have made it even more vague than it already was. On the date of blend the vehicle is straight up being built. It’ll roll off the line 20 hours or so after it starts. Greatly depends on production speed at the plant but that’s a good average. I physically got to see mine being built and only was able to see it for a couple hours and the biggest event that happened was it getting married to the chassis.

Don’t freak out when your run line goes back to “order confirmed” after being built. That just means its preparing to ship.

Your build date was moved up a week. Probably happened when they couldn't build another order and move it back in place of your order.

Your order will say in production about a week before production date. That happens because that is when they start prepping your order for production. All the parts need to be at the plant that week so the order gets sent to the plant in preparation.
