Well folks....I traded in my 2023 Heritage Edition. It wasn't easy. I was weirdly, emotionally attached to that vehicle. I read so much about it and eagerly awaited the arrival of the new Bronco after Ford announced it. I originally ordered an Outer Banks in 2021 and waited over a year for it, but it never got built. I spent a lot of time hanging out at my local dealership, bugging the guys for any updates over the months. When they announced the Heritage Edition, I fell in love. I'm a huge car guy and really love the nostalgia of the old American vehicles. I love the history of the Wrangler and of the Bronco. I jumped on the Heritage right away and switched my order in early Sept of 2022, as soon as the order banks opened. If you remember, the only people able to order a Heritage, initially, were those with unbuilt carryover orders. 2 door, race red, manual transmission. The only way to do it. I spent the next 11 months waiting, watching old 60's Bronco commercials on YouTube. It finally arrived in August of 2023. I only put 12k miles on it over the course of 2 1/2 years. It was always meant to be a 3rd vehicle of ours. But, over those 12k miles, I got more interest and compliments on that Bronco than any other vehicle I've ever owned. And I've owned a lot of vehicles. Buying cars is an addiction of mine. I've owned nice muscle cars, German sports cars, several roadsters, including an S2000 I also wish I never got rid of, lol. And on and on. People would come up to me on a regular basis asking about the Bronco. Many people actually thought it was an older restored Bronco and couldn't believe it was a 2023. Ford really nailed the Heritage. I took it down to the Ford Nationals in Carlisle PA in 2024 and it got 2nd place in the stock category. Anyways.....I'm retiring in a few months and we needed to pare things down a little, simplify and reduce some expenses. It was time for the wife and I to go down to 2 vehicles. I was also driving a Wrangler and I was going to just sell that and drive the Bronco full time. But, as an only vehicle, it's just a little too small for me. My wife drives a small car and I just need something bigger right now. I found a leftover 2025 Badlands Sasquatch 4 door lux package for a great price. I was able to get $9k off sticker as well as get fantastic trade value for my Bronco and Wrangler. I only paid $44k for the Heritage as I had price protection and a private offer rebate from Ford for having to wait so long. I literally got just a few grand less than what I paid, in trade. All in all it worked out well as they paid off the loan on my Jeep, gave me the new Bronco free and clear and handed me a check for $1k. I can go into retirement with a nice new Bronco and no car payments. But it hurt!!! It was hard to say goodbye. It was a strange feeling and I almost felt guilty. I've never quite felt that way when trading in a vehicle. Perhaps some of you will understand. Anyways...that's my story. On to retirement with my new badlands. New adventures await.

I read your post and thought it was about me.

Ordered a 2 door Outer Banks in Race Red
Changed to a Heritage when it didn't get built
People want to talk about it every time I go out
They argue with me about what year it is
I love this thing more than anything else I've ever owned
The manual is a hoot to drive especially in sport mode
Got mine the same month as you

But mine isn't going anywhere.
It's a member of the family, I could never sell it.

Your story really hit home with me and best of luck with your new Bronco

Thanks brother. Enjoy your Heritage. I guess we had parallel stories. I do miss it, for sure. I just needed something a bit more practical as my every day driver. Good financial decision as I got almost all my money back but a tough emotional one. 10-4 on the sport mode! I pretty much always drove it in sport mode. So peppy. My new badlands doesn't have the sport mode. I plan to download forscan in the near future to make some changes and I'll be adding sport mode.

Ruby here, acquired in October 2925, is reminiscent of my uncle's '66 ... which was a Red shortie with an open back and a rarely if ever used white soft top.

My cousin and I used to bounce around in the back, as my dad and uncle drove us around the southern New Mexico desert, circa 1972-73 timeframe.

Hoping to recapture those days ...

finally got around to getting the roll developed, Johnson Valley and Bronco knoll (1/2/26). Something is just right with heritage edition shot on film.

Lovely vehicle ... I had a hard time locating a Ruby Red HE Bronco last Summer, but this would have been my 2nd choice.

Nice! Almost all my pics are on film. What film and gear did you use?
Here is Riley taken with a Holga and expired Fuji 800 film. If you squint you can see my HE behind him ;)

Found a Nikon EM couple years ago at a flea market and the simplicity stuck with me, almost shoot exclusively on Fuji color 200 because I’m a cheapo haha

I shoot Fuji 200 all the time. I have found that unless you print directly from the negative, you can make a ‘cheap’ film look like an expensive film if you scan it and run it through post process software.

Your EM results look great! I have an FG which is the EM in shape and size, but w a few more features like manual mode.

True, I often just develop n scan it at a shop and recently got a 4x6 photo printer to print them at home! Wanted to upgrade to a F2 but I kinda grew fond of the compact size and convenience the EM brings, I keep it in my center console and whenever I see cool things i have the ability to pull over and shoot a couple shots without taking too much time to mess with the settings

I also have an F2 (and a bunch of other cameras..) but it sounds like your EM is perfect for what you are using it for. The F2 is bulkier and you won’t get better pics because it will use the same lens and film.
Careful w the batteries - you really should take them out if you don’t use the camera for a while. Modern 1.5v button cells are made like garbage compared to what was made in the past, and they leak very easily.
