I’d love to drive one of those to see what all the hype is. I fear I’ll be dissapointed

Most likely, all depends upon your expectation I guess. It is basically a street legal tractor. If you are expecting anything else, you'll be disappointed, at least on road. Off road, is a different story..

As for the value, like everything else, it is supply and demand. Not that many in the US, and for a time at least, a larger number of people who wanted one. I've owned mine for nearly 30 years, so its basically held its value (given inflationary changes), a rarity for a vehicle, but I really had no idea when I bought it, that this would be the case..

Of course I no longer want to use it as intended now as a result. Feel like the 2 door Bronco is the closest option to a reimagined classic Defender 90, LR completely botched the new Defender from that standpoint..

Grenadier is a really great modernization of a Classic Defender 110, but no manual gearbox option, something that is important to me, for better or worse..

Exactly why I bought one. The custom coachworks Defender 90s are sweet, but not for $180K.

Well it is a two door, and I am really interested in picking up a 2 door manual Bronco (Badlands), just wish Cyber Orange was still an available option..

Oh, I wanted one very badly. I test drove one in '96, which I believe were really '95s and the last year they imported them. But bare bones basic was $35K and a roof was another couple grand above that. I just couldn't afford it. 3 years later I could have sold it with 36K miles for $50K+. Oh well...wasn't meant to be.

Edit: then a few years later, a guy in the RAAF I had worked with on F-111s let me know the Australian Army was dumping all their Defenders at auction. Damn, if I had known the first thing about importing vehicles, that could have been a boon! Full on camo military Defenders with a flat black kangaroo on it! So cool. There were 90s, 110s, ambulances, tow trucks....all sorts of configurations.

It was finally warm enough to break out the hose and wash the salt off for the first time in 2 months. Now they're calling for some snow tomorrow night! I might just stay home on President's Day so it can remain clean for more than a day.

Wheel ring damage on all four corners from the Windrock trail ride when we got into some real rocky trails:

I bought a used set of rings on Facebook Marketplace... $250 for all five.
Ford wants $500.00 each for the rings...!!!!!!!!
