Has anyone found a locking gas cap for the bronco? Getting ready of purchase a Badlands and a little concerned that the gas door dose not lock and of course there is not gas cap. It would be cool if the gas door locked. I would settle with a locking gas cap.

What are you worried about?
Don't piss the kids off and they won't pour sugar in your gas tank.

No.

The Ford Easy Flow system on its fleet incorporates multiple baffles and an angled path specifically designed to prevent siphoning.

Is this natural paranoia, or have you had an actual problem?

Look for a locking fuel PLUG, not cap, and you might find more results. Ford used to sell one but it isn't listed as fitting anything past 2019. There are some new options but they're almost entirely plastic crap.

If your concern is fuel theft - the anti-siphon valves do pretty well on their own, but the enterprising methheads just bring a drill and tap your gas tank directly.

I wish they had a locking door, a little protection goes a long way.

I've had gas siphoned out of my tank multiple times. It's never happened with my wife's car with a locking gas door parked right next to mine.

if you put a lock on the filler they will just drill a hole in the bottom of the plastic fuel tank that’s hanging right out in the open

after watching folks steal electricity from a 13kv line with a set of jumper cables, and ripping straight copper ammonia pipes off a wall with a sawzall, i believe anything is possible if you arent afraid of getting hurt.

I've also been using this locking cap for over a year no issues:

And yes someone previously poured oil into my Jeep fuel filler. Most people will probably never know someone put junk in their fuel tank, they'll just wonder down the road why their engine isn't running well or the fuel system has issues etc.

This plastic cap will not prevent some determined person from breaking it off. The purpose isn't to be Fort Knox. Rather it's there to prevent mischief makers seeking an easy target.

I'd like to know how they did it. I've tried to run a syphon hose into my tank. And I know how to do it. Years ago I could start a syphon without tasting gas.

I'm not saying it's not possible. But the baffles work. Plus you'll need a flexible hose with a hard outer surface. Otherwise it will get stuck in the filler neck.
