I’m not sure how to attach it to the camera. I have a magnetic attachment with two end clips that provide the basis to attach the camera to the base stuck on the Bronco.
if the screw that backs out of the mount allows the camera to detach, that will also detach the tether. I don’t see a gap anywhere where I can thread a tether. What am I missing here?

Attach it to the hand screw before you slide it thru those holes.
The other end can go almost anywhere you want. I would try to keep it short enough to not hit the ground. You could loop it through the trail site by slipping one loop thru the trail site, then thru the other eye so it is secure on the trail site, then use that open eye/end on the camera

Oh I see, you are assuming the point of failure is the entire mount detaching from the vehicle, not that screw/bolt backing out and the camera detaching from the mount.

You can also slip it thru the case, that second opening by the latch (furthest awayform it). It fits and would secure the camera and case if that fell off the mount entirely. Unlike a GoPro, there is no separate tether mount point.
Pic below is close to what I described, just move it over to that next open space.
ChatGPT and Gemini suggested these

In the DJI box, there is a small bag with a lens cap looking thing (for shade I read), and some little plasticy/rubber rings. Those rings are to help with keeping that bolt tight during vibration, helps it stay put better I read.

Ahh thanks so much!! I was wondering what those small circular things were for!
Appreciate all the tips.

Took entirely too long to install this Injen CAI, but I liked having help from the little guy

Installed a Warn Elite rear bumper and the Ford tow hitch on our '24 WT. Still need to install the tow module on the inside and then get the computer flashed by a dealer. Bumper is decent, but like my ADD Rockfighter, the middle sensors give all kinds of false indications on gravel.

Just spent some time in the Pacific Northwest snow yesterday.

Besides messing around on an empty highway (Hwy 2, east of Stevens Pass) which was just a broad white playground, between sets of cars following a pilot car I am assuming, I took the Bronco up a few gravel roads at a lower elevation.

First time I could use Slippery Mode.
Did the first workout with 4A as well.

I found one situation the Bronco had trouble with getting out of. 'More on this later.

This is by one of the dammed reservoirs. which is part utilities property, part state park.
Why am I always the only one in parking lots during foul weather?

Now my Bronco weighs about 18 pounds more due to all the sand and gritty dirt from the snowy roads.

Nice! Sooner or later I'll get the tow hitch installed so I can carry a bike rack.

It's a super easy install if you don't need power for lights. I did the full meal deal Ford hitch. The bumper has to be removed with the Ford hitch, but aftermarket hitches like Curt can be bolted with the bumper on.

Edit: I take that back. Depending on year there might be a shield on the rear cross member blocking attachment holes that needs to come off for the hitch. The bolts holding the shield on are pretty long, so the bumper might still have to come off. At least the plastic bumper is pretty easily removed. Two connectors and 6 bolts.

After learning of Tackform from another thread, I bought their Link Dash Top Clip to use w/ a previously purchased Bulletpoint walkie talkie mount. Pleased with the results.

I have that mount and use it for my phone. It's a fantastic magnetic mount for the phone. I like what you did with the bulletpoint radio holder though.
