Rivets? They are screwed on aren’t they?
Well maybe they are screwed on. I’ll have to check when I’m back in FL. If they are screwed on that’s great I’ll have to get a bunch of different ones…

So I finally got the last piece of my Bronco Ranger build. (Ok who am I kidding, I still need skid plates) I have been searching for a while to find someone to recreate the console name plate. Well I finally found them. And they were only 10 miles from me. Here is a picture of the original next to my new one.

If I may, what did he charge?

AND, please get your commission agreement in place with him so I can order one.

It was about $55.00 with taxes. But maybe now that I paid for the design fee, he can just change the lettering a little bit, and charge a little bit less. I am not to concerned about my commission. 🤣🤣

I got my FE used and it still has the original plate. I was pretty sure FEs were sent new plates with VINs on them from Ford (example below). I asked the used dealer about it, but he didn't know anything about it. I should see if I can get this guy to replicate one for me.

I considered making some very high end, CNC machines ones, color anodized, with fancy titanium screws. I asked Ford for access to and permission to use their logos (just a digital file to get the right font/look) (Ford, Bronco and Raptor). They said no way and certainly not unless you are a million dollar a year business. So long story short, the absolute vast majority (if not all) of these custom badges, logos, stickers, emblems you see for sale are not "blessed" and risk a cease and desist from FMC. Really too bad they are so strict, but I do understand. They need to try to prevent things being done in poor taste or low quality or that don't accurately reflect the brand...

Received mine. Anyone that follows my build knows I have decided to add as many Ford Performance upgrades as I can (always at a discount) with the intention of making it look like a dealer installed package. Anyway, I’m happy with it.

It’s done for copyright protection, if they let you use it without agreement they can loose their copyright protection. It’s the same for all businesses small and large.
You can make anything you want for personal use so feel free to make something cool.

I get it, I just filed got and got my 1st copyright.

But isn't it the case that they can willingly share via a termed right to use without losing anything?

Correct it came be protected and shared with a right to use agreement.
Usually as you pointed out, the big name brands want a big contract to go with it.
I just create items per customer request and don’t advertise any brand names examples, that keeps you out of the light for cease and desist letters as they need to provide examples of your infringement intent.
