Sigh. I bought a clip on mic kit from amazon and after hours of testing, waiting, and testing again I’m no closer. My wife thinks (knows?) I’ve lost my mind at this point. I’m trying this weird stethoscope thing now after it sits for a few hours and will chirp again. I realize this is an idiotic thing to say, but it’s making me hate my Bronco. I had two others and neither had anything like this.

Last winter we found a cricket in our garage and I talked my wife into letting us “keep it”. I named it Crikki-Minaj and we lived in peace for a week or so… until we found CM had passed one night. I was more attached to that cricket at this point than this Bronco due to the noise.

Is it worse for you all at cold start by chance? Mine seems to go away after the vehicle warms up.
Seems only when we first get in and drive for a bit as well. Has anyone figured this out?

You may be experiencing something different then. However I thought the same thing until I realized I can hear the noise from outside the car simply by unlocking the car and listening. Others did a deeper dive and found the turbo wastegate actuator to be the cause.
Was this repairable? Why do some have it and some do not?

Same issue here. '25 Badlands, 2.7L. Definitely sounds like it is under the dash rather than underhood.

I have the same chirping / cricket sound from the same area. Dealer does not know what is
causing it. Not super annoying...just very odd !!

Did you take it to a Ford dealer to see if they could figure it out?

Our truck is currently on day four of being in the shop for the instrument panel recall, rear tailgate lock / unlock button not working, and a tailgate rattle. It does not seem like it should take four days to fix these issues, and I'm loath to add something else to the list. It would be nice to have the vehicle back before Christmas . . .

Honestly I was hoping someone here would be able to figure it out so that I can take it in with an action plan instead of sending them on a fishing expedition while we're out a vehicle.

That being said, I will mention it to them so that it is documented.

We are taking ours in for that Jan 5th no issues with ours on that tho. I believe that is for a softwear update for that.
