I wanted to post a few thoughts and pictures of these roof rail covers since I haven’t seen too much about them and only recently found out they even exist. I was able to purchase the 2 door version on eBay.

The good:
-It’s a great idea. I disliked the look of the Bronco when only the front roof panels were removed. I’m surprised that I haven’t see another company make these. From a distance it makes the Bronco look much nicer because it looks like it has the full roof installed.
-The price I think is excellent at $200.
-The part is made from metal and is simple to attach which makes it seem very durable.

The not so good:
The product is made of metal which limits the ability to recreate the same curves as the OEM roof lines and causes the fit to not be as flush as it could have been had this been made out of a plastic composite or fiberglass.
The color is a close match but not exact.

Overall, even with the big panel gaps I still really like it and would purchase again since it will make me want to take off my roof panels more often when I can’t remove the full roof.

I looked at these a while ago and asked them if they were going to make a rear door set too. The odd outer contour made me pause buying them. I didn’t know they were metal though so makes sense the smooth curve would be harder to achieve. They do look better in place than without them in your pics so might revisit picking up a set.

Just so I'm clear, those are just to make it look like the top is on when it's not?

lol, yes. That’s one way to look at it.

For me it’s to enjoy more open air driving while not having my Bronco look incomplete. Normally this has a reverse mullet effect. Business in the back, messed up in the front. It looks weird to me with the roll bar and then the roof.

I’m glad you posted this because I remember seeing it on here and wanted to revisit it, but I couldn’t find the thread.

I have questions:

Is the listed one hour install time for the initial install only? Can you leave some hardware in place when removing them to make reinstallation quicker, or does it all have to come off when putting the top panels back on?

How long does it take to get them off when you need your top back on?

Fitment says 2021-2023. Anybody know a reason why these might not fit a 25 with a mod top? I know I would have to paint them to match, at minimum.

The initial install “might” take an hour. But really you are just removing 4 bolts and placing a holding pin which stays there when your roof panels are installed. After this initial install and removing the roof panels, it takes all of 10 seconds per side to clip these into place.

5 seconds per side to remove. Here is a YouTube clip I saw, which is how I learned these were available.

I suspect the websites just haven’t been updated. It uses the bolts in the rollbar that you can attach handles to on the inside for the retaining pins. I also have aftermarket handles and these work just fine with them installed too.

Can you post what this looks like from inside? I found installation instructions that show how they're attached - helpful.

I like the name 'Bareback' - really fits the 'Bronco' theme.

That's a great idea in concept but they should have matched colour of the MIC top a bit better.
