Just so we are clear, the Raptor can wallop the regular bronco-your choice, it doesn't matter which-in the medium for which it was designed which is high speed open desert Baja style running. It can do it for the same treason it can beat the Jeep 392-the suspension is the key, which in the open desert trumps torque, horsepower, number of cylinders, etc. While both the Stroppe Edition and the Raptor owe their existence to the legendary Bill Stroppe, the Raptor's lineage comes from the Big Oly, while the Stroppe Edition honors the Baja bronco, and only one of those was a hard core desert racing vehicle while the other was a fun aftermarket offroad capable vehicle. Don't get me wrong, I think Ford did a great thing by paying tribute to Bill Stroppe with the Stroppe Edition, but is primarily a cosmetic edition.H/P per pound is nearly identical. Torque on the other hand favors the 2 door in Torque per pound by about 14%. Torque wins.
