Wow I'm impressed! Did you find her in California? I had to go all the way to the Philippines to find one this nice and that was 35 years ago. They are a lot more beautiful without the purple soft top and nails in the grille .
Ya 80's California Model lol

Had not seen 35s with 16" wheels on a Bronco for that first upgrade of yours. Great look and more sidewall for airing down. I only bumped my BD up to 33" KO3 as it is just beach driving, but went 16" wheels. More sidewall helps, and makes the tire look bigger.

You talking about the desert truck? That's my 1450 race truck, 1997 Ranger. Here it is jumping over the Bronco for no reason lol

EPICALLY COOL!!!!!!!!! Man, what a great journal and awesome pix. Down here in South/Central Texas we have...well, not a lot really except scorpions, rattle snakes and dust since it doesn't seem to rain anymore lol. Wish we had trails and awesome scenery like y'all have, my wife and I would love to do that with ours someday! Bada$$!

I've made a build thread for this thing on another site but figured this would be a better place for it.

It’s my wife’s daily, she named it Yeti. We live close to tons of trails so it’s in 4 low almost every weekend somewhere. I’ll post some pics, but most of the trail action is on my highlighted story on ig: @Alecnavarro.

Bought it brand new from Hemborg ford April 2022 (terrible experience). It was a special order that someone bailed on.

It’s a 2.3 Big Bend model optioned out with mid package interior, modular Front bumper, locking rear axle and 4.27 gears.

Immediately installed 35s on 16” fake Walker Evans since I put those on everything.

Added the sleeve thing to the rack in attempt to keep it alive from the start.

Yeti is actually a pretty cool name for it and fitting! Tell your wife good job!

Ya a lot of my off-road toys have the Walker Evans so when I went to order a set for the Bronco they only had 16s in stock, ended u working out well for a while. Made the tires look bigger than they were too.

Thanks! Ya we are definitely fortunate to have so many trails nearby. I have been thoroughly surprised how capable this thing is for being such a mild build.

Thanks! Not much "big Bend" left after changing the axles, but was definitely plenty capable before.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. What made you decide to do it, did you do that yourself, and how did it improve the power? I’ve got King coilovers and the ProCal tune, but I want … more 😁

Once I switched to 37’s, I could really feel the loss of power in the steep hills, and the transmission didn’t seem to be able to pick a gear. 4.70s + ProCal made it worlds better. Plus, I really wanted the front locker to help get through some of the crazy rock trails we take it on. I own a shop in Clovis called Axle Pros where we build axles every day, so doing it myself was super easy.

Very, very cool. I’m in OC so if I ever decide to swap mine I’ll give your shop a call.
