A few reasons. Loss of Rev Match & ASS delete. The main reason - it’s VIN locked. Spent $800+ on it. Unfortunately, only got 20k and 18 months on it and now a paperweight. My 2021 was totaled and Ford Performance wasn’t even willing to wipe the tune from ProCal so that I can use device for gauges/tire change/gear change. That and what @zyglyrox mentioned
I agree that taking rev match away was a HUGE mistake... pretty certain that you could just use forescan and change your VIN number ( temporarily) to the VIN number that's matched with your procow unit and the little device would still work... as long as you're not selling the tune over and over to all your buddies, there's not really much Ford can do about it.

what’s wrong with the Procal, everyone I know that have done it seems happy with it.
Its solid… if you dont do mods. I got tons of parts that arent being utilized, so a lot of untapped potential waiting to be unlocked

Would you offer one for 87 gas? Heard good things about e85 if set up right. The Ford making you run premium doesnt sound optimal.

Well, the right answer is "almost all of them".

But more to the point on ta thread about tunes, I would not mind having the option to run an E30 mix of 87 and E85 for an anti-knock rating of about 91. Such a mix would be a real $ savings compared to buying overpriced (which can be up to a full dollar more in my area) 91 pump.

Gotcha, $3.60-3.80 here. It'll go down eventually, just I'm of the mindset of "You want regular gas, get a cheap car"

I thought about that, but here E85 never went back to pre-covid pricing. It’s within $0.20-30 of 87. And the lost mileage is enough to make up that cost. If we could back to $1.10-1.50/gallon I was paying…. :)

All through our ticketing system. Very easy and staff here to help 9-5 M-F with 24 hour response time during the week :)

We will not offer an 87 octane tune, as we do not see a meaningful benefit in doing so. After working with these engines for more than ten years, we have consistently seen that they perform better and enjoy longer reliability on higher-octane fuel.

Offering a tune that could reduce reliability goes against our standards, so it is not something we are willing to pursue. Ford requiring premium fuel for certain calibrations aligns with our own findings. All of the testing we have seen shows that these engines carry far less risk when running premium compared to 87
