Don't get defensive. I've never suggested or even thought that. However, part of being 'transparent' is letting us know how much of OUR data is being collected, how it's being used and what service is it being stored on.

I don't know or give a shit about who HP Tuners is. YOU are the ones selling a product here. It's on YOU to provide all relevant information, not pass it off to a 3rd party vendor who it seems you're just licensing the software from.



I understand he may not have the answers, but it's up to you guys to do some asking around and find out. Shrugging your shoulders and saying 'dunno' doesn't inspire confidence in your ability to manage the software side of this product.

If you want more information I would contact HP Tuners as its their cloud and their product. We are using it as a way to tune Ford Broncos. This is not a 3rd party this is how tuning works, we pick a software to use as a gateway to flash our custom tunes to any vehicle. With this we only use software we fully trust and software companies only allow tuners they vet esp at the level we have unlocked. The TDN product is not collecting anything invasive and its being used in a manor to make tuning for the end user easier and faster with no computer, no email threads to download attachments and more.


To tune a vehicle on any software we will have the VIN, Your Name, Email at the very least in a software. For our website to purchase we will have your address, phone # as well. This is standard practice and nothing shady or invasive. I am not sure how else I can answer this question.

This isn’t some “fire and forget” tune either. We back everything with data, testing, and real-world driving. If we wouldn’t run it in our own rigs, it doesn’t leave the shop. Simple as that.

The tune we provide is our product. The software used to deliver it is HP Tuners, and we’ve always been transparent about that.


If I believed HP Tuners was invasive or shady, I wouldn’t use their platform at all. We trust it because it’s a proven & reputable software that has successfully accessed these ECUs, which is why every other custom tuner is also using HP Tuners right now. That’s not something unique to us—it’s simply the current industry standard.


I completely understand that you want to make sure you’re comfortable before moving forward, and that’s the right approach. At the same time, it feels like some assumptions are being made about what I’ve said or intended, and I just want to be clear that isn’t fair to me or my team. We’ve done our best to answer your questions honestly, but if those answers still don’t give you the level of detail you’re looking for, I respect that.


In that case, it may make sense to explore other options and see if another tuner can explain things in a way that clicks better for you. Just keep in mind that they’ll also be using HP Tuners, since it’s the only software available for this platform right now and another reason I feel getting ahold of HP Tuners maybe the best for you.


At the end of the day, the most important thing is that you feel confident and comfortable with whoever you decide to work with. Whether that ends up being us or someone else, I truly wish you the best in getting your Bronco set up the way you want.

Yes! Our tunes address all areas for improvement. Another benefit of these custom tunes over the Ford Performance is that we can tweak things specific to your liking, as it is not just a default setting.

This is a big one for me especially in 4L, before the Pro Cal tune the Bronco lurched going from 1st-2nd while crawling and going downhill going from 3rd-2nd lurched as well.

Sorry I am under the impression that with the tune it makes the normal driving mode more like the sport mode with the faster response and more aggressive shifts, then how would the tune be with the sport mode? Even better response and power with more aggressive shifts? I hope I am explaining that correctly???

The short answer is it will drive however you want it to drive. This is custom tuning. You tell them how you want it to drive in each mode and they will make it happen (or should be able to)

I have a different companies tuning and that's how it works. For example, in Eco mode a lot of people ask for 2nd gear starts just so you can take off smoother/slower

Sport mode does not add power all its doing is changing the feel when selecting that mode from the factory. You can still use sport mode or any mode with our tune as we are changing the base ecu file perimeters.

I can’t imagine any PII is being stored directly with HP Tuners, that’s just the platform being used for the tuning. Essentially you’re buying the OBDII device through Panda, so they’ll have the normal information provided to any vendor for an online purchase. You’ll then need to have your factory tune downloaded, which will correlate with a VIN to make certain you get the correct tune back if you need to revert to factory for whatever reason. If you were so inclined you could actually go through some remedial online classes through HP tuners to unlock access to do all the tuning yourself, but the same information would still need to be provided to HP tuners as far as your factory settings go.

Unless you do an ECU swap and use the advanced non-hobbyist version of FRDS for the PATS programming, at this point any tuner besides the Ford Performance tune is going to be using HP tuners for the bronco platform as they’re the only ones that have figured out how to unlock the ECU. It’s getting harder and harder as Ford has gotta protect us from adding superchargers to the twinturbo ecoboosts and then a bad tune eating away the cams! (Farley literally said that in an interview)

Flashes should take minutes. The first one will take longer.

Depends what its going in for. I would not flash back to stock unless you know they are flashing or something with the powertrain.


Its hard to say if they can see it or not on these ECU. Ford typically only goes off key cycles which are stored in the ECU but time will tell. Most of the time they will only go looking if there is a powertrain failure in my experience as well.

This Bronco was tuned on 93 octane and has an Intake, Intercooler, and charge pipes running 37" tires.

I've had my RTD4 and Panda tune for a little over a week. I dont know the HP or Torque gains but one thing for sure is the butt dyno can feel an immediate difference from the stock tune. Shifts are a lot smoother and there's more power off the line. i'm still working with Panda Motorworks to get the tune finalized but the experience so far has been enjoyable. 100% would recommend.
