If you purchase a vehicle with bead lock capable wheels…… are the Beadlock rings somewhere in the vehicle? Thanks.

For most - you would need to purchase and install them separately. Most will come with the colored "beauty rings" - as noted by the markedly fewer bolts.

If you happen to have an order that lists them as provided (not just "capable" wheels, but the actual bead locks themselves), then I would imagine they would be installed on the wheels

If you buy the Ford Performance beadlocks (they’re actually very well done. Ford killed it) DO NOT use loctite on the beadlock bolts. Unless you get said loctite from @Kristian@74W you will be hating yourself and the random person on the internet that suggested it. I literally just saw that recommendation a couple days ago. Anti-seize is good. TEFGEL is what you want though as it will prevent galvanic corrosion from forming as is common with steel and aluminum connections.

Thank you for a great reply and also thank you for the link. Makes sense now, because Ford would be throwing away or I should say the customers would be throwing away A lot of rings because I would imagine that most people would not install them. Thank you again!

I use anti-seize on my Bead locks. In my humble opinion you would have to be nutty to use Loctite. Water causes corrosion on those bolts and the anti-seize works great. On all the bead lock wheels I’ve owned, none of the ring bolt’s have ever loosened up using the anti-seize.

I misinterpreted what “beadlock newbe” meant.

But for real I saw someone on I think facebook tell a user to use loctite. Perhaps they really don’t know better or they’re just someone that wants to watch the world burn.

Over the last few years I have seen people mentioned that they use Loctite also on those wheels. Oh well, to each their own…..lol.

Getting ready to order a 26 hopefully in a few weeks. Just starting to do the homework on if I want the factory bead locks or aftermarket ones again. Trying to really compare apples to apples and make sure I can get the right backspace & offset correct. LOL!!!! And I told my wife if we get a Raptor Bronco I will not modify anything on it…..lol!!!!

I’m a big fan of keeping things stock.

As for the rappy, out of the box I don’t think you’ll find a more all-around capable vehicle.

Keep in mind most bead lock wheels are NOT DOT approved. I wouyld check with your state DMV before risking it. But thats just me.

I was thinking if the actual beadlock rings looked good, I may order a set.
It would go from 12 fasteners to 24 per rim… that equates to $23.85 per added fastener if you do the math.
The wife who loves Bronco farkles, but also handles the finances, said “WHAT.”

Don't forget the rings themselves - you're not just buying a bag of bolts. That said, I agree they are expensive for what you get. But do look sweet and hold a bead well.

My advice:

* Don't use LocTite - it's not needed. You are compressing the rubber tire with these bolts so that will ensure that they can't vibrate loose over time. And LocTite will just give you fits down the road when you need to remove them.

* Count the bolts soon as you get the box. 2 out of the 5 rings I ordered came missing a bolt.
