Do you not store the top on the lift ? It says you can that’s why I’m asking

you can leave it on the lift, even allows you to park under it with the top over your hood. I have a parking bump to stop me fr pulling too far up but I also put a bit of foam padding on it just to be safe.


I wonder if he took it off for the photo? No need to take it off. You can also stack the other panels on top of it.

I have the original Top Lift Pro and it works wonderful! You can store your top pieces on it and move it around the garage as needed. I did make a support piece that goes from the base up to the lifting platform when storing the top on it because it can be a little unstable (bouncy) if you don’t have one. I don’t think it’s necessary, but I just didn’t want to take a chance. This being the original version you can probably pick up secondhand pretty cheap.

Built a hoist in the garage - suspend it from the ceiling on a floating shelf made of uni-strut, threaded rod, aluminum 1x2 and padding.

You can store it on it, and i store it above my hood so it takes up almost zero space when it’s off. Way sturdier than the top lift pro from what I’ve read, even mentioned by someone else in this thread. If you buy it off their website you get 15% off with promo code

I bought and installed a Lange Originals Hoist-a-Top. Their customer service was amazingly good when I ran into some issues getting the system balanced correctly for lifting the rear "clam shell" only.

Wouldn't happen to have a pic of your "support" would ya? I have decided to build one myself just to take the stress off the top and put the weight back on the sides like it does when installed. Looking for ideas. Thanks

The support bar is in the pictures with the top on the top lift pro. It is a black square bar and I made it with extra bars that came with the top lift pro that are actually extension pieces so the top lift pro can be used with a Jeep Wrangler since the wrangler top is longer and needs the extra support that the Bronco doesnt need. in the picture with the green strap holding the center top section in place you can see the green strap that goes behind the support bar
