Hi Everyone,

I’ve had my Braptor for about 3-weeks and just noticed this on the driver and passenger side fender flares when I detailed it last week.

Has anyone else seen this before? It almost looks like the plastic fender flare rubbed against the metal and scraped paint.

I took it to my closest dealer for a warranty claim today and they said the selling dealer usually takes care of this stuff with the PDI. Waiting to hear back from the selling dealer, Phil Long of Motor City.

Update on this…looks like this an issue on BRaptors with painted fender flares on the 24 MY. My dealership looked at others and they have the same issue.

Would anticipate a recall or TSB to be forthcoming.

I'm seriously considering a 2024 in Cactus Gray with the painted fender flares- Where is this happening? Sorry, I can't tell that well from your photo. I also want to make sure that if I go through with the purchase I have this noted as an issue so there won't be any problems getting it fixed if it happens.

It’s right under the front side vents - the gap outside the fender flare. If you zoom in on my picture you can see it.
As a fix, the dealership installed another set of washers and repainted the areas.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I’ve been considering a Braptor for the last year. My local dealership in San Jose, CA has had 12 on the lot for over 140 days (originally had $20k ADM.) I was on their lot yesterday negotiated an heavy discount and noticed that 10 out of the 12 Braport’s had paint missing on the same spot as yours on either the driver side, passenger side or both.
It’s beating a dead horse, but for $100k, this is totally unacceptable IMO.

I can’t imagine getting a repaint job on a brand new vehicle!

It's on all years. I noticed it on mine ('23) when detailing it. I also noticed it where the plastic hood vent meets the painted metal hood.

I did notice there's PPF on the rear corners where the top meets the painted body panels. They likely should have done the same wherever plastic is coming into contact with a painted surface.

Yeah, it’s not just an issue with painted flares. It’s an issue with non painted as well.

Just checked my new Raptor that I picked up on Monday and it has the issue in the same location on both front fender flares 🤦‍♂️

Took a look at two others they had on the lot and same thing.

Azure Grey 2024 Raptor with painted flares and I have the same, front and back on both sides. I have asked my local ford to “make note” at least 😬

Any updates? My 2025 has this issue. Just got it August 1
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, my dealership repainted them for me and doubled up on the washers underneath so it wouldn’t rub again. Unfortunate they still have this issue on the 2025s. But everything was covered under warranty.

Same issue for my 2024 but it’s only the passenger side. Taking it in next week for repair.
