Still super torn on these. I can get a used set for $1500 or these with a warranty for $2500 based on the posted code.

Problem is ultimately I want a 2-2.5” lift over these to run 37’s so that would mean perch collars. I’ve done this on my previous Wildtrak but I already had the coils. Seems like a waste of money if I have to buy them or maybe I’m overthinking…
I'm in the same boat, especially since seeing that it looks like I can't even use the sway bar the kit comes with. I'd like to go to 37" KO2s or KO3s when they come out, but I'm having trouble finding out how much additional lift I would get with the Hoss 3.0 shocks over a stock badlands lift. I've seen people say anywhere from half an inch to 2" in the forum here

thanks for this, pretty interesting. As far as I can tell I am out of luck at the moment for adding a rear sway bar anyway since I don't have the mounts on my frame.
Did you hear back from Ford?

Just an update. I spoke to Ford Performance today, they were surprised about the lack of brackets on my 2021 badlands for the rear sway bar and asked to send follow up email with vin and pics so they could look into it further. FWIW, they recommended not using this kit without the rear sway bar due to expected lift from the new shocks. They also don't have separate springs available to compensate for weight of a winch or payload, and the springs are not adjustable.

Does anyone know if these brackets are available from Ford even as a weld on option?

That’s not it.

I inquired with Barnes if they were planning to make weldable brackets for 2021 models and they said no.
Hmm that just welds to the axle tube - if there is something in the way I dunno

What’s missing in our early Broncos are the two brackets on either side that are mounted to the frame where the end links of the sway bar attach. They’re essentially dual triangles with a hole in them.

A local 4×4 (or the now popular "diesel performance") shop should be able to fab something like that easily.

I have my 2021 First Edition at my local dealer getting these installed right now. The person I spoke to at Ford performance told me this kit should work even though the Ford accessories website says it will not. The dealer is telling me Ford shipped these to them with missing hardware. I am trying to clarify what exactly they mean by missing hardware but figured I would post this here as an FYI for anyone ordering the kit. I can share more once I hear from them tomorrow. I still had reward points left from the pre-order days so these were a no-brainer for me since used sets local to me are usually ~1800$

I’ve got a sneaky suspicion they’re looking for those mounts that don’t exist.

Could be! We will find out. Amazing how complicated these companies make something that should be so simple.

Please let us know what they come back with, if they have a ford part number on a bracket I'd be pretty interested,

Thanks

Does anyone have any info on number of hours they quoted or allocate to install this kit by ford dealer? I called mine and they said they have to abide by number of hours set by ford but that they can't see in advance of them receiving the parts what is allocated for time...:cautious:
