Leelanau Peninsula today. After visiting Leland/Fishtown and having lunch in Glen Arbor, we headed up to Pyramid Point trailhead via Basch Rd.

After hiking, we continued [the “wrong way”] on Basch 3-4 miles back out to MI-22. Enjoyed the one steep-ish switchback at the peak of the forested dune ridge, where there were several washouts from last night’s rain. Sandy seasonal roads are always a fun time. Doesn’t take much weather/traffic to rut things up nicely…

Received my Goat Fabrication sliders yesterday. Ordered around the first of July, so their time-to-delivery estimates are spot on.

Really pleased with the fit and quality. The kids are glad that they have a step to use, and I'm glad that the doors have some more protection from flung rocks and inconsiderate people who carelessly throw their doors open from adjacent parking spots.

Not really something done with the Bronco exactly. But it is related. Daughter went off to college today. And we love the Bronco. Her especially! So what’s a dad do? Installs a Bronco cam in garage so she can see it when she wants between home or college visits.

Followed by a WINDY DAY at the beach with fun waves for the kiddos.

Afternoon drive up the Chain of Lakes to Short’s in Bellaire, MI for dinner, cider and shandies.

They're so pretty I'd feel bad dragging them across rocks, which is not a criticism but rather a bit of self-awareness on my part.

Day tripping to Legs Inn @ Cross Village via Charlevoix, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Good Hart and the Tunnel of Trees. Then, further up to Sturgeon Bay Point. Top panels off.

Installed the Ford Performance hood struts. Not sure why I waited so long to get these, they are great!!

btw, if you mess up like me and the logo is upside down it is easy to remove the struts by gently pulling up on the little metal clip shown below

Did the exact same thing yesterday myself, using the same kit.

Yikes, looking at your photos, I installed mine upside down.
They still work.

Will fix tomorrow.

Well worth it.
