I got my hands on a discontinued new in box Airaid snorkel then modified it to accept a Sy-Klone 9001 precleaner, I also fixed the Airaid to OEM airbox issue where Airaid did not provide a solution to seal the OEM box. I like the Airaid over the Mishmoto because it actually hugs the A-pillar, without that 5" gap that Mishimoto has.

I had the same precleaner head on my JKU AEV snorkel, and like the Jeep, there is no noticeable change in mpg using the sy-klone.

I remain pleased with the looks of my Everglades' factory-installed snorkel.
I'm proud of Ford and former Bronco brand manager Matt Winter for offering a factory-engineered snorkel on the Bronco.
I thought about the factory option but peronally I'm just not a fan of the look. Also since my truck isn't a 4 cyl, the factory snorkel isn't an option without spending more $ than I'd like to. It's clean how ford designed it though.

I hope this is only for aesthetics since Bronco does not have a very deep ford depth.

I see the snorkel haters are already here.

I would have gone IAG if I wanted a snorkel on the v6 as it’s a nice out of the box kit.
however your application came out nice and great job working out the airaid problems. It appears bulkier than Fords but still nice.
Job well done.

I am not a "snorkel hater". Nope. On some vehicles that are known to be able to ford water to the top of the hood, it looks good regardless of whether it will ever be used. On Bronco it's a "little" different.
I am currently looking into a mod that very few of you attempted. I am about to mount a parachute on my roof rack. In case my Bronco ever has to be dropped out of C130, it will come handy. We used to drop Humvees all the time without a problem. When SHTF, I'll be ready.

I might be interested in this mod, what are the attaching points you will use.

Sounds perfect, they could go through the airbag covers.
That's a great idea! I was concerned about the strength of the bolts holding the rack. This makes perfect sense (just like a snorkel). There was that guy that made a submersible out of surplus carbon fiber and piloted it with a PlayStation controller. Maybe, just maybe he should've installed the snorkel too.

For me, it isn't about being a submarine and more keeping stuff out the airbox. Here in FL, the trails are always wet. Splash around enough and the stock inlet gets everything in there. I ended up soaking my filter to the point the engine stalled.

That being said, the breather hoses on my Badlands sasquatch are already by the brake booster. It would be crazy deep to go beyond that even compared to the everglades which is said to have them even higher.

LOL, I see the "I'm cool because I have something I'm NEVER EVER EVER EVER going to use, ers" are here.

I've met ZERO Bronco drivers that are driving their Broncos into water that fills into their cab. Just isn't a thing. Snorkels are the ULTIMATE waste of money poser accessory. If you're driving into water that gets into your air box (with the intake at the top of the engine compartment) you are driving too fast into the water (or your airbox isn't sealing correctly).

Blah blah "does wonders in high dust/dirt environments" blah. The guy with AT tires and a snorkel, quit with the trying to find justifications BS. You bought it because you think it looks cool.
