BSAS-SoCal, hey  I’ve been down this road for a few decades and have ordered most of the FORDs I’ve owned

You clearly are enjoying the process and didn’t want to get in the way…

Are you seeing data or is the info via automated phone?

I’m figuring we’ll be meeting up at the dealership when the car carrier arrives. lol. and Galpin has a coffee/ restaurant
That'd be great! Let's make some time haha. Also we can hit some cars&coffee and trails together as well.

After learning about my status, saw your post… So I’m living vicariously.

Gotcha!

Once it is off from CSX Transportation to UP or other rail(forgot the name), it's pretty straightforward to CA, most of them taking Sunset Route as far as I know.

Hopefully, it won't make frequent stops city by city and state by state, ours might be delivered on time.

Another thing is, your dealership and mine will handle delivery from railyard well, so our cars do not sit there for days and weeks, hopefully.

I check tracking through the automated phone call via CSX.
Wish I am able to see the data but I guess they only provide tracking info through phone.

My problem is I really want that lux package, so it's either Badlands or OBX. I live in a snowy climate so the auto 4WD is a must-have for me, but to get that on the OBX I have to Sasquatch it, which is more expensive than the Badlands I've spec'd

A Sasquatch Big Bend with Black Diamond and Black Appearance packages gets me 95%

The way all these options and packages work with all their incompatibilities, asterisks, and mandatory add-ons is infuriating.
I feel your pain. Three years ago I just wanted the Bronco Black Diamond with a manual transmission, but also the heated seats. But that required the mid package, which was not a configuration that was allowed by Ford.

So I had to upgrade to the Badlands (for a $5k premium) to get the mid package and then once I was there, I ended up getting the high package (which is no longer even an option.)

The Ford marketing dweebs are not customer-oriented at all, but they are very good at separating their customers from their money by creating packaging and pricing configurations that extract maximum dollars from us.

Yes that could be a valid point…
Others would say that’s a way to pay dividends $$$

Me.. well to be honest, since I was 18 I’ve owned Ford stock and received dividends (thanks)

🚙🚙🚙 Yes
FYI I’m getting ideas from… plus been to some

Generally Ford plants and rail depots and regional Ford distribution centers
Sometimes... I just think that 'I'd rather take flight to go to where my car is at and drive back home' lol

I cannot wait to make my trips and journey with the car, because it is technically my car, no more leasing or rent!

Also if you don't mind me asking, what city are you in? I am in La Mirada OC as of now, and thinking to move out to the city around here.

Don’t get me wrong, I am 100% a capitalist at heart, and Ford employees should be working for the benefit of their shareholders.

As a Ford shareholder also, I appreciate the dividends, but I am not very happy with the Ford stock price for the past five years.

My Tesla stock has fared much better. I probably should have dumped all of my Ford stock and just put it into Tesla :ROFLMAO:

As a Ford shareholder also
Then you know… voice your opinions by voting your shares

Share price is suppressed, the global gods don’t like Ford is a family business.. they have a special share class and those a-holes will never get the company.

I dumped all my shares when they did away with X plan for shareholders. Bastards.... I wish they would quit making so many models I want, I would dump them completely.... 🤣 It's a sickness, I know... 😝

Yup, well aware of the special class of voting shares for Ford family members (Henry Ford was no business fool, but he was a rabid anti-semite...).

I had a lot of respect for Ford not needing a govt bailout like GM did during the great recession, and I thought they would eventually get rewarded for it in the market, but I guess not.

Wasn’t Henry directly it was his and Edsel’s death. Their wealth was turned into the FORD Foundation. Only later did the company create stock holder shares so the foundation could sell their shares…. Henry’s comments were specific to ‘bankers’

edited … I waited to comment re one of your statements…
Interesting some friends in my youth, parents purchased GM … their descendants today purchase German vehicles, not Fords. The same country/people that … their ancestors…

let’s get back to manual transmissions
