What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

i actually like my Bronco after upgrading every speaker and upgrading the suspension.
With 37" and lifted about 3" over a sasquatch it still cruises the highway pretty sweet.
On the aftermarket stuff its great that there is tons available, but it is the wild west they don't all work well together.
I do dislike the cheap plastic and the cheap thin metal and why not upgrade the speakers, the factory ones really suck, maybe its me being used to GM Bose system for the last 8 vehicles.
I live in a winter environment with salt and don't think the thin metal frames will last many winters.
I may not take mine out in the winter.

Newbie here, only two weeks+ since I took delivery.

-As others have mentioned, the electronic parking brake. I like having tactile feedback and visual confirmation that such an important component is properly engaged, even when the vehicle is turned off. I also miss the partial disengagement capability with a handbrake.
-The lack of good handle placement for pulling yourself up and in. Yeah, the airbags got in the way. I'll be installing aftermarket cord-type handles.
-My wife finds the OEM front passenger floor mat slides around way too much, to the point of being really irritating and bothersome. We're going to velcro it down and see how that works.
-The turn signal is too soft for my aged ears. Hopefully the Armadillo Designs top will help by reducing background noise. Maybe I should also wear my hearing aids more. :ROFLMAO:

Probably more in time, but none of these are deal-killers so far. It's still a great vehicle!

I have the Ecoboost engines and the coyote in my trucks and the eco-boost destroys the coyote, especially when towing.
Yep, I heard all these stories 5 years ago.. And the stories about how you can "tune" a turbo to smoke any V8 out there. And if you love your Ecoboost engines then that's good for you. I don't. I'm not racing down a drag strip, I'm not towing 10,000 lbs. But when I hit the gas, I expect a nice smooth curve to my power, not a dead horse waiting for some turbo to spool. Guess we come from different generations, but I will say I would take my old 351's from an '84 & '94 Bronco (at 210hp), over the shit in these Bronco's today. Hell, even toss in a 4 spd Auto w/Overdrive, I'm cool with that too.

The only thing I "hate" is that it's a shit magnet. It attracts way too much attention. People want to race. People want to ride your ass. People want to tell you how much they like it. People want to touch it... People want to talk while you fuel up. I don't really like having to say thank you when someone tells me how nice it is. Women? I was stunned the other day when a beautiful polynesian woman half my age came right over to me and started talking to me about it. A perfect ten. I was so taken aback by her beauty that I didn't offer to let her drive it! I'm still Kicking myself... And what does a large pearl ring on a left ring finger mean???

If the ambient light sensor detects a darker cabin, it presumes it is night so the infotainment will change to the darker mode. The side windows shouldn't be enough to trigger the change with the windshield not tinted.

Might be worthwhile to mention the behavior to the dealer presuming you are still under warranty. Of course, they might just blame the behavior on the tint and not the sensor itself.
Thanks for the feedback, Bum. Seems odd if it senses darkness,
that it would make things even darker. It has the light, dark and
auto settings, and even on light, it doesn't help. It's a 25 so still
under warranty.

That is normal. If one is driving at night, having a brighter infotainment screen would affect your night vision.

There might be an issue with the sensor. But it can also be due to the tint depending on the percent and coverage.

.... it never effected my night vision on my '23 F150?

Funny, I have seen many posts where people are irritated that it's too loud.

Doesn't seem too loud to me.

Every car I have ever owned will dim the instrument panel lights (including the screen) when it get dark. As @Beach_Bum said, it's to reduce glare at night.

There should be a setting that allows you to disable that feature.

The only think I actually hate about the Bronco is the stupid electronic parking brake. I would much, much rather have a cable brake.

Other things are minor. The dashboard is hot trash, with an analog spedo behind my arm, and a bar tach that's impossible to read. Mustang or F-150 are lightyears better designs. And we should have a big, giant, physical push-button to disable the main infotainment system.
Just curious: 2nd comment ive seen about this. Why do you need to disable the infotainment?

Here is one thing that I truly hate about the Bronco. I have had it since birth 2021 Bronco Outerbanks 4dr Antimatter blue. The air conditioning sucks. You try to turn on the highest fan setting and it does what it wants to do. You put it on Auto and it does what it wants to do. You turn on recirculating air and the air goes way down. Not sure if any of you have had this experience?

.... I won't argue. But being nearly 68 years old, and having bought
24 new vehicles in my lifetime, I've never had an inst panel go dark,
DAY OR NIGHT, all by itself. NEVER. There's either been a switch, a
flywheel or new models with the tech settings to "set and forget".
(or, the auto setting of course) When it's 2:00pm, full sun, and the
12" screen goes so dark that you can't read what Pandora list is
playing, THAT'S NOT RIGHT. or, SAFE.
.

... and, if the auto darkness is for glare protection, why doesn't
the glaring brightness of the DIC (driver information center) go
DARK, TOO?? oh, I guess driving without seeing your spedometer is ok?
lmao ..

The coyote engine isn't exactly a torque monster as it's a short stroke, large bore engine designed to do it's best work in the upper range of the tach as peak torque is over 4000 rpm. It's more suited to the Mustang where it's expected the driver is going to rev the engine to high RPM's to wring out the power than a full size pickup truck hauling loads. Most F150 owners opt for the Ecoboost 3.5 over the 5.0 for towing. It does sound a lot better so there's always that.

.... well, down here in America, 3 billion farmers over the last 82 years
would disagree. The 5.0 is hard to find, selling out first. Sounds like you
folks need a bigger tariff ...
