Not sure about the math, but I’m assuming it has to be the early June $10k drop in Braptor MSRP. right?

It would have to be a short term loan, like 24 months to drop the payment by 400. Unless there’s some super outrageous finance rate involved.

Sorry everyone, my math was bad. I recalculated.

My current rate is $1500 for 72 months at 5% apr. With the $10k drop in the base price, estimated monthly rate came out to $1300. So $200 less, not $400.

(I put 14k down)

Yeah I'm not trying to throw shade in the slightest but I don't get y'all with these raptors and Wildtraks. I put 16k down on a '23 base model and just paid it off after 2 years. My whole payment was like 400 something/month and it killed me inside to pay that much. I can't imagine paying 70-100k for a Bronco that's like 15% "better" than a 36k Bronco. Granted y'all probably make 3x what I do. At least I hope you do.

$107k for a BRaptor is just crazy.

Forgot to mention that I live in a HCOL area, California. The rate below is more accurate.

I’ll be transparent. I work in Med Tech as a labeling/packaging designer and make $125k per year. I have a side business that pulls in additional income when needed, give or take $300-400 per month and sometimes more. I also serve in Army National Guard and drill every month, so that’s some extra $400-500 per month, during deployments I make more due to active + special pay. Currently don’t have many expenses, just the car payment, insurance, and phone bill really. Food and gas too I guess. Moved back home couple years ago, only covering household utilities which is about $500-$600. Don’t plan to move out unless it’s with someone special, rent out here is crazy. Day to day expenses are low, so just got alot of extra money to play with. I plan to buy a house out of state once I hit my savings goal. I’m 32 years old if that matters. Hope this gives you some context.

Wait, what???

You're 32, living at home, making 10k plus a month and driving a 100k Raptor with no plan of moving out because rent is too expensive ... I'm sure your parents are proud.

He has a good job, runs a small business, and serves in the national guard. They probably are proud. If his move out plans are on his own terms, they probably enjoy having him around.

That’s insane. Non SAS Badlands, covered wagon top, modular bumper and 4 banger auto. $303/month. Couldn’t be happier.

We have an empty home (4 bed, 3 bath), it’s just my mom, myself and my cat. It made sense to move back and throw more money into savings then pay $3k every month on rent.
