If you want to look up the recalls on your car, just go here and paste your VIN: https://www.ford.com/support/recalls-details/

It's insane they can't get the software fix (backup cam) things out faster. And having open recalls for 12+ months? Ridiculous.

IDK what the recall history is on Jeeps, but their overall quality totally sucks. Not sure you'd improve your standing. LOL.

Got an update from the service agent. Said they got approval for the new engine and some parts have come in and they will start working on my truck soon.
I mentioned the fuel pump recall to him and asked if while its getting the engine they could just change the pump and he said he would ask the tech to do it. Hoping to kill two birds with one tech. We shall see.

There is no repair for that recall yet.

This is partly my assuption but i think there is a repair (change the fuel pump with a non defeftice one) just not the stock to do it en mass. If a vehicle in that date range that needed a fuel pump came in im sure they would have a non defective fuel pump to put in it. Just not 90000 or more of them to do the recall. If im wrong on that im wrong. Hopefully the tech is creative and can get it changed. Of not then,,, we wait.

They aren’t going to change a fuel pump that is working fine.
Even if they did, there’s no way to know if the one they put in is the same as what the recall will be doing since the recall is not active and no parts have been announced. Could be a totally different number once a repair is available

Thats a good point. I will add that it developed a misfire which allowed them to get the new engine going, correct me if im wrong, but also i think was one of the symptoms of the fuel pump too. Ill share what they tell me to help keep everyone in the loop.

I’m still waiting on the backup camera recall so I can pick up my brand new Bronco Raptor. Been waiting over a month now with no date to fix it yet.

So, catch me up. With the shock recall and no parts are all leftover '24 Sasquatches unsellable still? I assume the '25s are OK and all pre 24's are gone. And all post '23 don't have the fuel pump issue, correct?
All I can add is that mine, a 2024 that was ordered Dec 23 and delivered June 24, shows zero recalls. Perhaps I just opened Pandora's box with saying this, but some of these recalls seem to be right in range of when mine was built, yet show no indications of being included. So......who knows.

I barely made it through Statistics in school, but I did learn enough to come to the conclusion that perhaps Ford needs to narrow their margin of error bell curves with some of their parts suppliers? I mean, they charge a pretty penny for their cars, you'd think perhaps they could up their game with quality control measures for some of their suppliers. I had a 2015 VW GTI for 7 years, was one of the first to roll off the Mexico line for the US market. It had one recall, a potentially damaged fuel pump relay at the tank due to something with the shipping. A VW. Made in Mexico. 1 recall. Just sayin'...

They balked at replacing mine near the end of the recall period (I ran them as long as I could, I liked them) I got a bit rude with the regional rep and got reimbursed for my replacements.
As far as I know, they never recalled the Wilderness HT, just the Wilderness AT. My tires chunked out the tread at under 1000 miles. (1998 Ranger)

As an actual Quality Engineer, it is much harder to enforce QC with suppliers instead of in-house.

I don't think Ford will ever get a handle in it unless they bring parts production back in-house.

How many unresolved safety recalls justifies a class action suit? Seems Ford is having these pile up (and other unresolved design issues) and there is no enforcement to get them resolved.

lol class action for what exactly?
These are advanced notice recalls.
They’re fixing the issues, it just takes time to figure out how to correctly fix the issue in accordance with the NHTSA and/or gather parts for them.
What are you going to sue them for? Not being fast enough. Good luck with that

The point wasn’t about suing Ford, the point is that these are safety recalls. not aesthetic issues, and as a result, people can become injured because of Ford’s poor engineering, design or quality. They don’t have all the time in the world, and some of these issues have been out there for a while. I would imagine that if someone did get hurt as a result of these issues, then Ford could be held accountable because they knew about them and they didn’t fix them in a timely manner.
