New Amazon Find: Archaic LED Mirror Lights

If you don't already have the lights it's not. The base structure is fully upgradable, but everything has to be sourced and the harness is not sold separately. I might be the only person so far to upgrade a base mirror and I was thinking of doing a write up.

Is the turn signal part of the OEM harness if equipped but not used if not a Braptor? Never tried to run this functionality down.

That I'm not sure. I just know they were stingy and deleted the camera, blinker, and puddle light wires from the harness. I had to reuse my harness but some of the wires were damaged, ended up getting a generic fakra extension cable to get the camera working.

A new lux mirror was about a grand, I'm about 500 into the converted one. Still expensive!

Theoretically, could these be wired up independently of the OEM harness and tapped into the turn signals? Maybe using another adaptor/harness from another vendor?

May be cheaper than going the OEM harness route?

I think it could be done that way If you can source the feed. I haven't looked at the body side of a base harness to see if it was missing wires too. The connector is by the washer fluid reservoir and it'll be very obvious if half the pins are unused.

I bought these under a different name and am installing them now. I don't care either way about the function, it just happened to be the cheapest way to finish my mirror rebuild, a single oem light is over $100.

They look interesting, I have the LUX mirrors so it's a swap out. So you can have these, or use the trail marker lights, they both plug into the headlight harness......it would be interesting if they work together.

I also wonder if the lighting for the 360 spot lights will work this.....very interesting idea.

Driver side is done. The install is a little fiddly but not terribly hard, I give it a 2/10. Looks pretty decent.

I did the always the “always on” wiring trick a few of us have done, via an Aux switch, and an amber lens cover. This DRL feature would be better as a DRL.

Driver side is done. The install is a little fiddly but not terribly hard, I give it a 2/10. Looks pretty decent.

Is the DRL feature “always on” with vehicle running or is it switched inside someplace?

They do not. But I can't get them to come on with the stock lights either, blown fuse maybe, trying to find it.

The white light? Comes on with the low beams, or you can remove that function altogether by connecting 2 wires in the supplied harness. The amber light is blinker only.

OK a little more digging and I have the ditch light thing sorted. Not possible with these. The old plug is unused and freed up and I was thinking cool, it can trigger an aux ditch light, but it doesn't put out 12v for the ditch light function. 1.7v at rest and 3.0V with the ditch light on.

Right, because it runs through that Door Control Module or something I wrestled around while wiring up “always on”. For DRL although they are a bit bright. No blinker function either.

I don’t need those as spot lights since I’m running the Oracle ones.

I’m thinking if I do the Archaeic I’d put a little interrupt relay in the housing and hack into their wire harness, making amber DRL vs white, on an ACC circuit, and make it blink on and off with turn signal input to the relay. Next time I want a project.

I have a correction. The amber light is on with low beams if you choose not to use the white light.
