I bet there’s a decent percentage of Jeep owners that don’t have a clue who used to or currently builds them. They think they’re built by Jeep, completely separate from any Chrysler build influence.

I can't tell you how many people I've talked to who had no idea that Toyota is the parent company of Lexus, along with Honda/Acura and Nissan/Infiniti

Yeah, we have called all our vehicles that were full frame and designed to haul stuff “the truck”, including the 98 V8 Explorer and Excursion. They’re on reconfigured truck frames. Ranger and F250.

I spent few years in Germany and went all over Europe when I had some free time. Over there, EVERY 4x4 that's built on full frame is called "Jeep". To them it's a synonym.
