Why would I ever want to get rid of the mode selectable Live Valve Shocks for manually adjusting shocks?

While the stock suspension is one of the best offered by an oem in this application, it leaves a lot to be desired, especially if you are doing high speed whoops. An advantage to a shock like this is much more aggressive off-road tunning than stock shocks not to mention utilizing a full 3” piston which has exponentially more dampening than stock. As with any modifications, it comes down to use case and wants/goals.

Im very well versed in suspension setups and have spent a lot of time on whats possible on the braptor, sdi with revalve + ads bypasses (custom kit), to apg pro runner setup and dumping the live valves, to foutz mid travel kit, etc. ive had my braptor almost 3 years now and have been waiting for the aftermarket to advance. Given Ill most likely have Juicy do the godzilla swap, I want a suspension setup that will surpass the oem setup.

Been waiting for this day as well! Loved the kings on my Outerbanks! Had gone to SEMA and saw King will also be doing electric adjusting as well through there own programmer so that would be awesome to have the adjustability still and also get the king coils on the truck!

Did King give you a timeline on the electronic adjustable shock? They have been talking about it for the last 3 years at SEMA.

Looks like the sdi eclik controller. Wonder if its their kit made to work with King Shocks. Question is will it work with the bronco raptor kings.

i got close to getting king shocks once lol. ordered something for my 4runner, then 2 years later my dealer finally got them in. days after i picked up my bronco raptor.

Not sure i want to give up live valve either. Hopefully fox comes out with a ready made solution someday.

Whoa! I had KINGs on my Wildtrak and loved them. I now have Raptor but unless I’m missing something here wouldn’t we be giving up the integration the stock suspension has with electronics in car to move to these?

Example can’t swap from off-road mode
to sport mode like we do stock.

I just feel like the reason to buy a Raptor is that it’s all integrated. I hope I’m wrong but reading that I’m not sure.

What do you all think? Yay or nay on this?

Btw I don’t off-road my Raptor but that’s whole different topic lol.

If you dont offroad your raptor you are better off keeping the stock live valves. If you feel a need to upgrade , Fox may release the racing series which works with live valves eventually.

The king setup is more for someone wanting more than the stock shocks are capable of offroad. If you have ever done a high speed raptor offroad run, you will see the limits real quick of the stock live valves as you get left in the dust lol by all the modded suspension raptors.
