Hi. Thinking of getting the rough country tubular rear bumper to match the front tubular I have on my bronco 2022. The mechanical mounting doesn’t worry me. But the wiring of the led lights do. Not an electrical wiring fan. Is it a chore to get the wires all the way to the engine compartment to plug into the auxiliary wiring for the aux switches. Or am I bette rod just putting the block off plates in and forget lights all together. Thanks for any help.

I have this bumper and you don’t actually have to wire all the way to the engine compartment. There is a wiring diagram somewhere on the forum, I’m sure if you search aux switches wiring diagram something should come up.

basically you connect the wires from the aux switches in the hood to a wire behind the glove box, then another wire runs to the passenger side of the cargo area, which is where you would connect the rear bumper lights.

I don't have aux switches. I tapped power at the rear power outlet to get the acc delay to use the lights for reverse and work. Then ran the included switch to the console.

BTW bumper install is very easy, easier than the front by far. I feared wiring, and blocked the lights out for a few monthes, but finally went for it. The included lights, shackles and license plate relo are a bonus

Sorry to highjack:

does anyone know if you can mount the license plate bracket to the bumper itself? I don’t like the look of having it on the spare tire.
