Rim break in a Badlands

Hello. Has anyone had any issues with the quality of the stock rims? I cracked one on the inside with a small rock, and a friend with a Ranger Raptor had the same problem, also on the inside.
I'm thinking of buying the Bronco Raptor beadlock ones, but I don't know if they'll be the same quality…

I’ve wheeled my Bronco in some pretty substantial rock gardens and have yet to crack or damage the original Ford rims. Of course, I refrain from actions preceded by the phrase “Watch this!”

Non Sas I'm assuming? Didn't run those long enough to find out. I've dented the inner lip on a couple of my Sas wheels though, but no breaks.

Years ago I shattered an Explorer wheel sliding into a curb at low speed.

Which badlands rim is this? the stock rim or the Optional Non-SAS Bead lock capable?

I seem to be missing something here..... I thought this was the inside of the WHEEL or "rim" as I would call it.... But what you have circled does not seem to make sense to me..... Please explaine to me what I am seeing because this just does not look like a "rim"

For some reason ... Looking at this I keep seeing a fender well Although that diameter is no where close to being a fender well.

I think the green circle is the inner edge of the wheel. Could be damage to the bead. But the part you circled definitely appears to be cracked.

I agree it looks like he buried it in gravel or shale.

The part I circled appears to be two different substrates with what looks to be a hex head bolt at the bottom. That may not be a bolt but they are clearly two different substrates, one being ripped away lining the other.

The area circled red looks to me to be leftover adhesive backing from stick-on wheel balancing weights that fell off.

Could be... but (and I easily could be wrong) that area looks depressed relative to the rest. If it is adhesive it would be raised.... I am just looking hard at where the shadows are falling, and the shadows look to be falling onto that area on the right not falling onto the area on the left... suggesting the area on the right is behind the area on the left.... but that may be a fluke in how the light is being cast.

you are right, the red area is that.
the green area is from the inside.

That does not look like any type of manufacturing or design failure. Looks like it was abused and beat into submission.

I've been running the standard non-SAS Badlands wheels for 2 years, no problem.
