I just noticed my MGV seats have a crack in the side. How did this go for you?

Didn't they update the seat bottom to have another line of stitching to help with stretching>

They said it would be covered under warranty but we're still waiting for parts.

This stinks, Ford needs cloth options back on multiple trims.

I've seen enough of MGV in boats to know how it holds up long term. Not interested, and I'm not a fan of Ford's "leather" either based on my Mustang.

This. My wife's Mustang has "leather" seats, which also has a cloth section on the armrest side. The leather is painfully cheap and full of cracks along the side bolsters.

The side of my driver's seat is starting to tear. It has a couple rips.

I was a little hesitant about marine grade and vinyl when we first got it because I've never had it but people on the forum seem to think it was going to be very durable.

I have 23,000 mi on it in 2 years. Should this be happening? I've had Ford leather on every other car I've ever had and other than getting cracked after many many years I've never had tears in it. This is a 2021!

Is this something that would be covered by warranty? I hope so. I'm gonna need to stop by soon. I'm having an issue with my soft top too, it's rubbing on something and starting to cause an abrasion.

Love this truck but there are minor issues that keep popping up.

I just found an inch long slit on my driver’s seat yesterday. It’s right where the top of the plastic trim meets the vinyl. This should not be happening after only 2 1/2 years. Of course I found after being 1000 miles out of warranty. I don’t think my extended warranty covers this either.

Has anyone had this repair covered by warranty past 36k miles?

Mine just showed up around 40k miles. Just noticed it the other day

+1 on that. The cloth seats in my '21 BaseSquatch still look like new.

Makes me glad for my cloth seats and neoprene seat covers. Not getting vinyl had been one of my regrets.
If you put seat covers on the vinyl, it likely wouldn't crack either? If it had cracked and you put a cover over it, does it really matter?

Because in other Ford vehicles with leather I've kept for 20 years I've never had any tears getting in and out of the driver's seat.

This vehicle I'm 2 years in and I have rips starting already. Everybody was talking up the durability of marine grade vinyl because it allegedly stands up to sun and exterior abuse like in boats.

The exposed seat on my John Deere tractor lasted longer.

Unless I'm supposed to levitate into the seat I don't see how it would be user error.

im still reading through the thread, but did you attempt a warranty repair? My dealer said it’s not covered. Curious how you resolved it- if you did. I’m very unhappy with this issue. https://bronco6g.com/forum/members/21911/ are you listening? This should not be an acceptable “wear and tear” issue on a 2 year old vehicle.

I had a crack in my driver's seat. Replaced under warranty at 35,789 miles.

Curious on this as well. My dealer said it wasn’t covered and would be a $600 fix. @Ford Motor Company are you listening? This is clearly a design flaw. Very unhappy with this and the puddles of oil from my rear shocks….

Man, that bot retired.

Last I heard it’d moved in with Chat GPT, knocked her up, now they have twins and living in a trailer behind a warehouse down in Pensacola.

Yep….. :cautious:
