It’s just a piece of 1” flat bar (stainless) X 7” long, bent as noted. Uses the Starlink tripod mount via a hole on one end and M8x1.25 threads on the other. Had some left over M8 eye bolts that match the roll bar holes and the MIC hold down bolts.

The lights are from NEBO, attached with Velcro for battery access.
Thanks for the idea , can you take more pictures of your setup please , to be able to replicate it , thanks in advance

I ended up tapping the flat bar at the roll bar end because I could not get the nut started on top. Too frustrating. The bend in the flat bar was just a WAG. IIRC the flat bar was 7” long overall, but the length is not too critical. I used the standard STARLINK pole mount with a tripod adapter from Amazon.

I thought the eye bolts would be handy for hanging camping lights and also for quick removal to get optimum orientation/location when at a campsite.

Great post! I installed a Starlink using your design, I used aluminum instead of stainless steel! I tested it works great! The real test will be next week, I am going to Moab! I will post how it works out!

Looking at my roll bar, I don’t have a cut out, so I am interested to see what yours looks like.

On my 2 door the cut out is facing forward on the roll bar. I didn’t see it either till I crawled inside of my bronco to remove the seats.

Here are is the pictures this is not the final configuration. I put velcro across the mini to make sure it doesn’t vibrate. The mini is powered by the Bronco’s inverter. I really like how the Starlink Mini works!

Just curious… why are so many of you guys against hardwiring if you’re doing a permanent installation?
In my case - if I'm stuck in the woods, and the Starlink can't get direct sight to the sky, I need to be able to pull it out, take it on a hike with a battery pack, and go set it up somewhere where I can get line of sight. So the dish needs to be able to be unmounted, and I need a cable to carry with me to go into the battery pack.

So, yeah, I guess the wire could be hard wired, but I have a USB C adapter on USB power brick that can run it off the rear cargo power point, so if I hard wired the thing I'd still need to carry around that USB C cable anyway.. doesn't really save me anything other than the power point, which I'm not using for anything else right now.

Mine is not a “ permanent” installation I can remove it with one screw and cut a few tie wraps. This way if I need to remove it to another location or a vehicle I can easily do so, that’s why I didn’t want a permanent mounted or wiring.

I recently got a starlink mini and after considering using a magnet mount on my roof rack, I found out it perfectly fits on my overhead Molly panel. I used to included pole mount an option to tighten it to the Molly panel. The starlink barely touches the padding on the bottom of the roof panels.

Just bought a. Starlink Mini for use while remote camping and also for the next time a hurricane blows through Houston and our internet connection goes down for a week.

So far I’m very impressed. I’m using it to use it to post this message!

After watching U-Tube videos regarding mobile use through glass sun roofs, I wondered if it would receive through the composite top (MIC top).
Stationary, it seems to work without issues even though it is not optimally aligned. Haven’t tried it while in motion yet.

I'm going out to purchase my starlink mini today! Best buy has them for $499 !
