I noticed a few weeks ago that the interior lights are no longer illuminating automatically when the doors are opened. Now I have to press the button on the upper console in order to turn them on. Is there some sort of setting that controls this? Some automobiles have a selector switch that determines this behavior. FYI - I've not changed anything with interior lighting. I did check the manual, and couldn't find anything that would speak to this issue/setting.

Cheers

Generally the switches have three positions, on, off, auto. There could be a setting in the display for it too.

There is a button on the upper center console - by the Aux Switches (or sunglasses holder)... If I recall, it's the forward one on passenger side.

Thanks, I'll take a look in the settings.

If it’s not a switch setting, a low battery can cause the interior lights to be disabled when the doors are opened.

Good luck..

It was actually the ambient light setting. I just discovered that when turning the ambient lights (footwell) all the way down, it impacts all of the lights for when the door is opened. I didn't notice/experience this previously.

Yes, and I saw that in the OM, but it wasn't working for me. I'm not sure what was going on. I noticed that I had to turn on the ambient lights, and then for some reason that button started working. A feature or a bug? LOL

Yes, ambient lights must be on for the interior ones to work. I guess a toss up if it was planned for some special reason or a quirk.

It definitely wasn't what I was expecting to find....
