Need buying help!

I have a '24 2 door 7MT Black Diamond. I'm 6 feet and 220lbs I'm perfectly comfortable in the back. I wouldn't want to drive across Canada back there but I have no issues up to 3 hours in the back. As far as rear access goes, does everyone know that if you pull the seat forward using the handle on the top part of the seat, that it goes farther forward than using the lower handle. Also when you use this lever the seat returns to its original position. And i have the vinyl seats and haven't had too much issues with Canadian winter. Ford placed the dash vents straight inline with your hands and it heats up very fast.

Thanks everyone. This is great info. I found a 2dr manual (Black Diamond) and a 2dr Badlands. I like the grey one a bit better than the black one. I don't have heated seats in my tundra as I have cloth. $45k and $52k. With rebates and stuff, it's around $43.5k and $48k. A new one with similar trim is $47-50k. Neither of these have heated seats. Heated seats are nice but it is not a deal breaker for me. I plan to upgrade and add stuff on my own to personalize the build. Thoughts? Thanks to everyone for helping me with this. I really am liking the 2dr now. Drove it twice...true about access to the rear seats....should have made it easier but only kids would be going back there (13yo) on rare occasion.

To get the heated seats you would have had to get the mid package which on the BD would have pushed you over to the automatic. Never made sense to me but outside of the HE (that I have) the only mid package manual you could get was the Badlands.

I will say that I rarely use the heated seats or dual zone but the touch lock/unlock I would have missed plus you get the added safety sensors for parking and traffic, at least in the back.

I'd put out a bigger net and find a Badlands with at least the mid package or try to find a leftover HE (mid and manual standard). As for the 2 door question, not an issue with me, only kid still at home is already driving and is skinny and agile enough to climb back there. I have climbed back there and have plenty of room but would be very difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

Definitely go for the two door manual. I have a 4 door auto and absolutely love it. Bought an auto because my wife can’t drive manual plus I wanted the 2.7, it’s a solid little engine.
I’d love to be able to go get a base 2 door with the 2.7 manual but sadly Ford has never done it and probably never will with the ‘25 changes

For the extra $4500 with the BL's you get front lockers, the upgraded rack, better gearing, better front axles, ADV 4wd, lift (with the Bilstein shocks), 33's instead of 32's, and disco, that's a heck of a lot of value for the cost.

It's a manual, so Sasquatch would only give you wheels/tires (about a $200 difference in value), and wider flares (another $200/a swap/or leave them alone).

I've had a 2 door manual badlands non-sas in the past, and now the 4 door auto badlands non-sas.

I'm very happy with my 4 door auto now.
The *ONLY* two reasons I wasn't so happy with the 2 door THEN was that I was living in a city with really crap traffic and the bronco is my only vehicle.
Manual is fun. In stop and go traffic for an hour in each direction every day it was not fun.

The 2 door has a good amount of cargo space when you lower the back seats, but not enough for me. For example I'd bought the front lip spoiler and picked it up from the dealer. It would only fit in the two door by lowering the back seats and moving the passenger front seat as far forward as it would go and leaning the seat forward as well. There have been several things I've carried in the 4 door that would not have fit in the 2 door.
Regarding passenger space the 4 door has more leg room in the back than the 2 door. It's noticeable.
That said, there was 'ok' space for adult passengers in the back of the 2 door, but they better not be too tall, or have people in the front that are tall and have to push the seat back. Getting in and out was a pain though cause of how tall the Bronco is and the passenger seat not moving enough.

Today, the Bronco isn't my only vehicle, but it's my primary vehicle and the other vehicle is a 2 door sports car with no back seat. Which is why I went with the 4 door Bronco. I need to transport things. I no longer live in the city where I'm driving in that stop and go traffic a couple hours a day, so I wouldn't mind a manual again but I got too good of a deal on the 4 door automatic compared to the few manuals that were around. Plus the other car is a manual and scratches my itch for driving a stick.

My preference would be if it were my only vehicle I'd go with the 4 door. If it were a secondary vehicle more 'fun' vehicle I'd get the 2 door again. I prefer the look and the tighter turning radius.

The things I feel the auto as over the manual I are comfort in traffic and trail turn assist. Hitting that button, turning the wheel hard over, and just pivoting around the rear inside wheel is giggle inducing. (don't use it on pavement)

You get about a half an inch of extra ride height to clear the 35s, along with the aforementioned tires and flares.

All great info. You all have helped me so much. BL is a better buy. So, now I'll head to the DLR and play the game. I suspect not much room....these are both very rare vehicles with the 7spd. I couldn't find any within 200+ miles....

I agree with everyone else about getting the Badlands. As much as I love my black diamond and I think that one looks great, you can't beat the added value of the Badlands Manual. I have the 4A on my black Diamond and wouldn't want to not have it. Fairly certain that one will not have it so I would go for the Badlands.

as an early reservation holder back in 2020 and a fan of the first gen Broncos, I NEEDED a 2 door Manual. Had an initial order for a Black Diamond but I ended up switching to a 21 Badlands non Sasquatch which I self squatched in the 3 years I’ve had it. With Ford Performance tune, 4.7 gears and pedal commander this thing moves out surprisingly well even on 35s. It is very maneuverable because it’s short…easy to parallel park if needed, AWD option and has all the off-road options, lockers F&R, gearing, disconnect. I have fit people in the back with fishing gear and hit the beach but I agree it wouldn't be fun for long trips.


Not sure if you would consider lightly used but you may be able to find more in the Northeast if you would.

It seems like 99% of the posters on here that put the factory Sas wheels/tires on non/sas Badlands said they did so without any rubbing (including at full compression). If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will wade in. Most of the problems came from not running the Sas off-set (+30 or similar). With that said 33's look perfect on the 2 door.

Offset definitely plays a role.

Also, experiences vary.

Frustrating thing back when I had a 4Runner is that you had some people swear certain combinations had no rub, while other people noticed rubbing immediately.

All of your responses have been tremendously helpful. Now, I just have to decide on 2024 or ordering new.....I kind of don't want to wait 4-6months.....

If you order one you will most likely be waiting. There are many of us on here that have early orders in for 25 MT’s. We got VIN’s and build dates for this upcoming week, and then they all got pushed out for two months for an end of April build week. Ford has not given the dealers any reason why this happened. And none of the recent MT orders have gotten scheduled either.
