Hello all,

I just picked up my 2022 Badlands 2.3 7MT. This car was pretty low mileage, and all stock, with the mid/high pack, I have about 6 months left on warranty.

I ended up having to drive up to Williamsport PA and get it, because apparently every one near Phillie is gearing up for the Super Bowl, and I couldn't get anyone to pick it up and transport it.

Full disclosure, I did not test drive or view any Broncos, much less, the one I purchased, I know that's not the smartest thing to do, but it's worked out for me in the past.

First impression....I Love It!!

It has been about seven years since i've driven a manual transmission. I had 650 miles an about 9.5 hours to figure it all out. I think I spent the first 2 hours grinning like I was 16 and driving by myself for the first time.

Coming out of a BMW X5, sitting on 20's with a sports suspension, I knew that it was not going to ride or handle the same, but I was very impressed with its road manners. I knew the fit/finish and material quality wasn't going to be the same, but to me. It was way better than I had expected based on internet chatter. The interior noise while noticeable was also not as bad as I had expected, way better than just tolerable.

The interior space is great, roomier than I thought it would be. I have a Wife, 3 daughters and 2 golden retrievers, I think this will more than adequately tote us to the Lake or Smokies for some hiking, and with the top off make it way more fun.

Almost as soon as I committed to the purchase, I regreted not finding something with the sasquatch package, but now, I am super happy I stuck with the basic badlands set-up. We are never going to do any aggresive offroading and as a realtor with with mostly an older clientele looking to move into our Lake communities, I think this will be perfect.

So far, the only negative I have found is, somehow the sound system is actually worse than I expected, and I wasn't expecting much based on everything I had read. Coming from a car with 16 speakers, this basic set-up is pretty bad. I have been following some threads and doing some research and it's all a bit overwhelming. Especially when you toss in using forscan ( I'm pretty low tech), but I am looking forward to my 16 year old. And I put together a system and installing it.

Looking forward to learning more and maybe meeting up with anyone in (or visitnig) the Kroxville Area.

Take care.

Welcome! Glad you got your Bronco!

And you definitely got the best non-sas Bronco. The only thing you don't have from the SAS is slightly larger tires and about a half inch of lift. Things you don't really need, and are easily remedied if you ever want to.

Just throwing it out there since you mentioned the warranty. Granger Ford on here sells the Ford extended warranties for really reasonable prices if that's something you're worried about in the future.

Thank you very much for that info. My credit Union offers a pretty solid one that I was checking out but I will definitely look into Granger as well since I have a little bit of time to play with.

Coming from driving German cars for the last 15 years, a little extra repair bill every now and then won't be shocking, but we'll be adding another car soon for my daughter, so I would love to keep down expenses.

Awesome, if you've never been here you'll love it. I moved here in 99 and never want to leave.

I definitely want to check out the Off Rodeo, it's in a small community called Townsend and it's really cool over there only about 30 minutes from my house.

Thank you. Been there before with motorcycles. My dad and I started restoring old bikes and after 17 had to call it quits.

I already, have a list of things, but I am sure my wife will help me keep it in check. Plus with 3 little ones in cheer and dance, my wallet will keep me in check.

Plans are just for small touches to personalize it, but definitely stereo is at the top of the list.

Congrats, looks great. One thing I would suggest especially if you have older clientele are steps.

Yes... play around with the bass, treble, balance etc. I was much happier with the sound after dialing it in.

Yes, I mostly work in the Lake Communities around Knoxville. The majority of my clients are out of state buyers nearing retirement or retired already, so around 55-75. My wife and little girls are all shorter as well. This was my biggest worry about switching to the Bronco from the X5, which was a perfect height for people to slide in.

I already picked up a set of the Rough Country Srx2 steps installing them today. I know it will help the function but I hate to lose the clean look of the factory rails.

I'm always surprised by how many do this. We often hear about noise complaints poor MPG complaints & such later. Hope the love fest last for you.

Well that didn't take long now did it

I wish you a wonderful journey in your new adventure of Bronco ownership 🤠
