I just took delivery of a 4dr Badlands with the painted hard top and it has plastic tabs on the side window's that I believe should have been removed. Anyone do this themselves or back to the dealer? Thanks

I had those on mine too. I looked up what the purpose of them were and the internet was split. Half the people were saying to remove them and that the dealership should have done it during the PDI. The other half said NOOOOOOOOO do not remove them!!!! LOL. Something about removing the window and using them for guides. I am on the side of removing them, so I did. Just pull on them, they'll come right out. Pretty sure it was just to guide in original installation of the windows in the hard top.

Yeah Ford's PDI check list literally says to remove them. They serve no purpose to the customer.

Plus it looks like you have the painted top like I do (if the Bronco in your avatar is yours). If that's the case, I don't believe the rear side windows are even removable, so no point in keeping them in even if you did agree with the NOOOOOOOOO group. On a side note, does your painted top appear to have orange peal in the paint? Mine has it pretty noticeable. But maybe it's just because of the plastic surface and not the actual quality of the paint..... IDK.

I have not looked at it closely but I will. I know that inside it is quieter than any of my three hard top Gladiator's

I had the same issue ... just pull them out. Might need a little wiggling and muscle. They're for shipping and should have been removed by the dealer.

Even for those of us that do have the removable rear windows they serve no purpose.

Mine has orange peal also. Picked up mine in October. To the post below, I do believe it is quieter than the jeep and the original hard top

Take the tabs to the corner, they are easier to remove that way.
