Probably a stupid question from a new owner

Hey all, I just picked up my 2024 Wildtrak 4dr over the weekend and was curious about one thing. Is it ok to drive on the road with the front and center roof panels removed and leave the rear part of the hard top on the Bronco? I wasn't sure if the air pressure caused any issues with the side or rear glass at highway speeds. I looked and didn't see anything mentioned in the owners manual.

Do it all the time. Even at I-state speeds it’s fine. In fact haven’t taken the rear clamshell off yet. …yet.

Congratulations on the new rig! There are no dumb questions, it’s better to seek out answers. The first time I drove without the front and middle roof sections was bringing home a Christmas tree!

I looked and didn't see anything mentioned in the owners manual.

Here another thing that you can do that some people on here disapprove of. Take the tops and back off but if you need to get out of the sun during peak times, just put the front and mid sections back on. I’ve done it numerous times and driven 80mph, they ain’t going anywhere.

Note that the bolts at the bottom sides of the clamshell may be used to secure other items besides that rear roof section. On my Badlands, those rear bolts anchor down the rear roof section, the Pak Rax (side cargo/equipment racks) of my TrailRax roof carrier, and the molle cage that my ThorsLightning compressor is mounted in. So my clamshell isn't likely to be coming off.

If you go for a roof rack, make sure it provides clearance so you can remove at least the front and two middle panels. Some don't. The Trailrax (pricey but worth it) does. Here's their online illustration of how the full setup would be installed. Those bottom rails go between the rear roof clamshell and the truck's fender. (They're an option.) (thebronconation.com sells them at 10% discount.)
