Great information @Slei, especially for those under #515. Here is an interesting question: does that mean the next "batch" is on hold until April or are they producing continuously? In other words. If you ordered inside #515 you might get a top by April or thereabouts. If you order today in the next "batch", would you not get a top until August to September? Or, is there an in between "batch" break point for their production phases to overlap?

Side note: in manufacturing things rarely "go to plan" unless you are a very detail oriented, sophisticated, energetic, and lucky planner. (weighted in reverse order of listing)
I think they’re always cutting the parts but it’s a matter of fabricating them. I wouldn’t say they’re on hold until April. I think more so the next batch may be shipping as early as April but I’d probably pad that by a month or two. We won’t know for sure until this current batch is ready to ship which is hopefully in the next 4-6 weeks.

the time between this batch of squarebacks and the slant backs that shipped recently hasn’t been too bad at all. Not sure what the order mix looks like currently and if they’re going to produce the slant and square simultaneously.

I would love to have one of these (primarily for use in the winter), but I shudder to think what shipping to Canada would be.

Great questions. Sadly mostly I can only speculate from what little I know.

For those In this batch they start roughly now and will be finished assuming no delays and based on options, in 12-16 weeks. (14-16 assuming a minimum two weeks in powder coating) I get the feeling that they are still refining the process and that could mean things get done sooner or that they find limits or quality issues and they end up delaying it as well till this set is nearly all out the doors.

I work in production environments, growing from small shops with hand full of people to becoming an employer with hundreds of employees, and it strikes me as they are still early in the development of the production process. As they grow how they manage quality, supply lines, training, storage, production space, etc. etc. etc. will ultimately decide if they can scale the business and the long term feasibility of what they are doing.

Again all this is just my opinion and I would have to talk to him way more, and maybe even go down and see the operation to have an informed opinion. For now I do think they want this to succeed and are excited about what they are doing. After all I believed in them enough to place an order.

Here’s another data point for @Splint3r : order #413 black slantback got a status update on Nov 18 that it is in laser/bending. Waiting for the next update of welding/blending then powder coating. I am thinking that will happen in mid to late January. Hoping to receive this top in March or April which sounds consistent with what Fabian told @Slei. Good luck to @Ninjak on his ardous journey to get his top.

Sooo...Update time!

So Fabion sent me a text today and said that the delivery company has been trying to contact me to deliver my top and I was not available...🤬🤯😳😱😰:explode: yeah. So he sent me the 3rd party email that had contacted him, and I used the phone number. I called them, and he(Steve) gave me the FedEx facility that should have the top. A few calls later I am in touch with the Hollywood FedEx depot. A real human! Huzzah! After speaking with her, it came that FedEx for the holidays wanted to contact everyone for deliveries. For some reason, I never received a call on Friday. It would seem some employees decided to take holiday early. So the ending of this saga is that my delivery is scheduled for Thursday. They are closed Tues and Weds and did not have anyone who could deliver today.

I want to give a shout out to Fabion. He followed up with me, and he is currently in Japan. So time difference and all others things he reached out and he did not have to. Lol I guess he was a bit confused on why I could not be delivered to. Lol. In all, I would say that is pretty good customer service on some level.

So Thursday it is. Direct from FedEx mouth. An end to the journey. (Hopefully lol) FedEx will give me a call when the driver is on the way, and I am getting texts and emails. By the weekend, Jessabelle should have a new top :)

Let's see some pics of the new top on your rig. Been waiting...
Here ya go! (I was about 1200 miles away when it showed up and you made the request for pictures. Just got it on)

The red bronco is where our old OEM hardtop now resides.

No surprise freezer! Kinda sad, actually. Was going to put in for some elk tags…

Currently I’m on a shitload of dayquil, nyquil, mucinex, ivermectin, and testosterone. This bug is killing me. Her bronco is on 40’s with portals. Couple other accessories here and there.

We didn’t take it on an interstate test to check the noise yet. But it looks fantastic.

Well feel better and get some rest.

Her RIG looks great and the slant looks really good. Mine will arrive tomorrow, and I'll get it on. Grats again, and you did get yours on before I did

Thanks yo! Still gotta install the interior panels. Interesting note-I thought it would be darker back there without side windows but it turns out one big rear window at an angle (without 5% tint) is much brighter than three flat tinted windows.

Your interior panels? You purchased the molle panels? Or do you mean something else? Also its good to hear about the rear window and the lighting.

Yeah we got the interior side panels. Was originally just going to do one side to keep the other side open for doggo but eventually ordered the second side to improve storage capability with the slantback. He has windows that roll up and down so that’s better for dust anyway.

And I was definitely surprised by the light. Granted we had ceramic 5% on all the back windows…
