So here are the tires I've been researching - probably not buying for another season, but just for comparison. All in 37x12.5R17 unless otherwise stated

Delium Terra Raider KU-257 - no weight given
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT (LRD) - 80 lbs
Falken Wildpeak AT4S (LRE)- 78 lbs
Nitto Recon Grappler AT (37x11.5) (LRD) - 71 lbs
Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT (LRD) - 69 lbs
BFG TA KO2 (LRC) - 65 lbs
BFG TA KO2 (LRD) - 70 lbs

For comparison - stock SAS GY Territory: 52 lbs

So no matter what tire you really step up to, there's going to be a weight impact.
Thanks for this - I currently have Toyo Open Country 35s M/Ts (75lbs). They are heaviest in class. So going up to 37 won't be toooooooo bad for me :) hahahahaha!!!!

I wouldn't call it a regret, BUT, my 2.3 Manual on Cooper STT Pro 37" tires no longer uses 6th gear. Regearing to something like the FP 5.38 gears could help (currently have the 4.70's), but I've been doing just fine only using 5th gear on the highways and 3rd gear around town.

Yeah, similar. My 35" Baja Legends are 64 lbs as-is. So not there are some 37's that won't have a huge weight impact.

Those Toyos though - wow, that's a heavy 35~!

I lost 6th on my 4.46 with 35's. Well, since I got my Bronco with 35's, I guess it's better to say I never had it.

It will run - the Bronco won't die, but it just sits in Boost the entire time and makes fuel economy worse unless I'm going downhill/downwind.

Same here, but on a car. Two cars actually, before I realized they were shit.
It still makes me cringe when I see folks buy the Black Diamond take offs .... but I don't know first hand how those last.

.... and now, just bought a nice 2016 Outback, 55k miles, the dealer put new tires on before I bought it .... fuckin' Generals again. I can't wait to change them out. They are usually decent the first year, then degrade significantly ...

Two tires I hate so far, General and my Toyo's currently on the Bronco.
Surprisingly they both get really great reviews at the tire sites..... .
The Toyo's are actually worse than the Generals ever thought of being ...
Which Toyos?

It crazy how your Toyo Open Country A/T 37s are 73 lbs. My M/T 35s are 75 lbs. (in 37 they are 84).

If I ever go 37s then I might just go with the A/Ts. It's such a great tire. Either that or I'm in a Braptor someday ;)

i spent entirely too much time looking at wheel and tire weight combinations to keep the weight per corner low, and risk of breaking stuff low.... and i'm glad i did!

I was still averaging around 18 mpg with the 2.7 and KM3 35's which weigh around 74 lbs I think. These lighter 37's might help my mpg go up! I did notice that my speedometer seems dead on now with the 37's with every speed trap I have passed so far and I have not modified anything to correct the speedo. My speedo was always reading high with the 35's stock from the factory.

Getting ready to put 37 inch KO2’s on my 2023 Wildtrack bronco.
Curious, if anybody has any regrets doing this?
I have the zone adventure 2.25 lift with the JKS Max tire kit installed.
Seems like the only negative I hear is the speedometer, how many people actually try to recalibrate this as opposed to just living with it being a few miles per hour off?
Thanks!
I added 37x12.5 on two of my Wildtracks. Before with stock 35’s the Speedo was 2mph fast now with 37’s is closer to true.I use a speedometer app on my phone to keep track of speed comparisons.
no regrets on the 37’s

My regrets are that the Everglades did not come with them factory. Now I’ll need to $$ to get them.

I've been happy with all the Toyo I've had. Stock on a super duty got over 70k on them and now open country RT trails on my bronco.
Which Toyos?
35 x 11.5 - 17 Load Range C
Toyo Open Country AT3

Yep, 3 billion miles worth of positive reviews and I apparently get the shittiest set they ever made.
They have not returned any correspondance.
Other members here have the EXACT same spec tire and have no issues....

Absolute worst tire I have ever had if there is ANY moisture on the road .... and even worse if it is cold out, say 45* and lower.
Balances out well, has been running smooth, noise not bad .... but that rubber is the absolute hardest shit ever.

Covid tires, purchased Dec 2021.
The build dates were current for the time frame ....

Damn, sorry to hear that. I had a set of 285/75/17, C-loads put on recently and they are arguably the best tires I've ever had, as far as AT's go. They blow the factory K02's out of the water in snow, ice, rain, mixed percitpitation. And since I had them put on I have literally driven a thousand miles through pure, unadulterated white outs, 3 of them. 20 plus inches of snow, unmaintained service roads up in the UP of Michigan, blinding ice and snow storms across Northern Wisconsin. Sub-zero temps. They crushed it all.

Maybe its the size, I don't know, but I love these things,
