Aight, I think I figured out the trick to this. Thanks for all those who have posted what they did as it led me to what ended up working. I tried the up and down several times suggestion to no avail. What ended up working for me was when the window was all the way down and button released, I pushed the down button again. You can hear it click twice when doing this. Did it a couple times and viola! Now it works as it should. Hope that helps anyone who was having this same issue and just going up and down didn't do the trick for you either.

the auto up feature does not work on one of my windows. the window goes all the way up, then comes down about 2/3 way. this started about a month after i got my bronco. i did the reset and that worked for a while, but it broke again. i had my bronco in for an oil change and had the shop fix it. the fix only lasted 2-3 cycles. i am not sure but i think it broke after using the all windows down feature on the remote.
is there an tsb on this or a real fix

Just found this thread as my 1 week old BB is doing this on rear drivers side. Seems pretty common?

Can you explain a little more please? I'm where you were, nothing seems to be fixing it anymore. Was the Bronco off or on? When you say released do you mean that your finger was off the button? Did you have the window go up and have itself open the window again before you pressed it down again?

Hi Garrett! I can look into your Bronco's window concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?

Here you go!
Thanks Brian. I've had to do that in the past, which worked, but my issue is different now. When my window goes up, as soon as it gets to the top it automatically rolls all the way back down. With the door open or closed, the buttons don't do anything until the window gets to the bottom. So I don't even get the chance to try and reset or re-teach the windows anymore. I'm having to roll it up inch by inch until it hits the weather stripping. If I go too far then down she goes again. Have any experience with resolving that issue? Might just be a trip to the dealer I guess.

Crazy my just did the same thing, auto up to the top and then drop to within an inch of being fully down. I did the reset twice but only rolled the window up to an inch or two before it was closed. Seemed to work. I might have done the rest in reverse. Can't remember for sure other than I was at coffee stand and it was cold and foggy.

Hi all...my 2023 Black Diamond started doing this a couple months ago. Driver's side window, will go up and immediately back down. It used to do it only a few times then mysteriously work OK. Right now it's up with about a quarter inch clearance, which is the closest I can get without it going down. However, it rains a lot here, so this is not a sustainable hack.

I was surprised that after 5 pages of threads, there is still no known real fix, and apparently one dealer kept someone's Bronco for a week to fix it. Not a good sign that Bronco quality problems like this keep popping up.

Has anyone had an actual explanation from a mechanic anywhere on why this happens?

My driver’s side rear window started doing this exact thing recently. It also won’t drop that half inch when I open the door. So when I close it, it rests on the outside of the weatherstripping, leaving a gap for air / water / etc. to enter. Then I have to play the roll up roll down game a few times until it finally stays up. Aggravating…

Only solution I’ve found is to not use that door / window. :(

Yepp, I have to do the same thing too. I usually just roll the windows down and let it slam back into place. I have two doors that I try not to use because of this issue. Looking to call the dealer tomorrow to get it scheduled for repair. This is dumb. Do Tesla's have a similar issue I wonder?

One of my rear windows had a similar problem. Once it reaches the top, it rolls down until it leaves 1/3 ~ 1/2 inch glass out of the bottom seal. What I did was pushing it down until no window was out. It helps the door computer to reset the glass location.
