Hey all. First time ford owner. I used to have a couple of mid 80s squarebody chevys but always did appreciate the 1st gen bronco. So when I was looking for a new vehicle I knew I had to get one. I went with the heritage trim for that reason. Sadly I thought I was getting a stick, but it turned out to be auto which may be a blessing in disguise. I grabbed a 24 when I found out the 25 heritage is losing the 2 door (So stupid).

Questions:
1) I disabled message chime in androidauto, but I still get a chime with some notifications. It's a ford/bronco notification (bling?)sound, not one from my phone. Any ideas on how to mute this? Any hidden settings?

2)How does one get forscan? I'd like to enable bambi mode mostly, though I guess there are other settings I may want to tweak after seeing them.

3) I'd eventually want to 37s. Specifically the BFGs because they run a bit smaller. Does anyone know if I lift 2-4 inches do I still need to trim the frame/crash guards? Ive seen mixed reports. I know the BFGs run smaller and I'd like to avoid cutting into the frame.

4) I want to run a winch and ideally two lights in addition to the fogs on the front bumper. I'm uncertain if I want to swap to a modular or aftermarket. Ideally I'd prefer the winch/lights to sit a little lower so they're not taking up all the grille space as I like the way it looks and don't want to block it too much. Is there a thread people post pictures of their mods? CK5 had a lift/tires thread so people could get an idea of looks and clearences.

5)Any guides for how to wire into the aux switches for lights and such?
5a) Any recs for super bright ditch lights? Flood or spot? I intend to use them off road and on backcountry rural roads to ideally spot deer better. (Currently researching this)

6) I've read aftermarket exhaust can increase hp and mpg in addition to sounding cool. I'm looking at a few axleback options for spring. Ive read intake upgrades aren't really worth it? At least the "Cold air intake". Would an aftermarket filter do anything or just a waste of money?

7) Anyone know timeframe and best time of year to get an Xpel coating to protect the paint? Planning to do this but can't afford for it to take a week as I'd have to travel somewhere to get it done.

Looks great!

Lots of questions, which is fine. The answers to pretty much all of them are around here, probably many times over.

I'll start by helping out with Forscan:
https://forscan.org
You need the full version on a Windows (not Windows S) PC. The Lite version can't make any changes. You also need a compatible OBD2 dongle (the web site has a forum that lists many compatible ones -- not all are compatible! so check the site)

The red heritage 2-door is the only worthwhile one.

You used a cylinder choke on your shotgun blast of questions. I'm not usually the asshole to say "use the search", but here I am, telling you to use the search. Every one of them has an answer here.

Do some reading. When you narrow down what you need, lots of people here will jump in to confuse you more!

For question #6. I run flowmaster American thunder for exhaust on my 2.7L and have been really happy with it. Gives it a much better sound all around, at idle at normal acceleration and when gettin on it, it doesn't drone down the highway either (install wasnt too tricky). I also have the Injen Evolution intake and couldn't be happier (install is a little more involved than most intakes because the larger intake pipes to the turbos). I used to only run K&N but I think the injen design has the K&N beat and with better dyno HP gains according to Injen. It upgrades the intake pipes to the turbos not just the box, it also snorkel ready if you are into that. Just know that the intake will allow the turbos to be heard hissing down the street when they spool up. As far as HP gains and throttle response it did improve and MPG went up 2. I did both exhaust and intake at about the same time. I have noticed i can accelerate better around town without boost kicking in. I haven't had any problems due to these upgrades.

Ill take a look at the injen and see what's involved. Thank you.

Yup. Most of this stuff pops up over and over though. So if you just stay caught up for a couple of weeks you will catch most of it on the latest cycle
