Glad I already planned on keeping my 22 badlands 2 door manual. No way is it worth the prices now for the very minor updates that aren't really a big deal to me for what MSRP on the equivalent new model is. And they axed race red, which is one of my favorite colors on a Ford, I've never been a fan of the more maroon reds that they replace it with.

We picked up 2 HE's. She was going in for an oil change on her 22 OBX...... They had the Azure gray on the lot and she came home with it.

A nearby dealer had 1 left in carbonized gray. So I talked her into let me get one too. She always wanted a two door. We had no idea that they were actually going to discontinue the two-door heritage in 25.

Both are the 2.7; 10 speed automatic.

I got $50 it'll just be coaxial speakers, probably the rear pods.

I feel lucky today. Just got my 2 DR Heritage 2.7 and was debating waiting for the 2025. but now. . .

No 2 door with a 2.7 under 75k.
No Signature Lights as an option.

I couldn't really create what I wanted at any price now. I just did a nationwide search and see that there are about a dozen 2024s left in my color pref. I'd be buying one of those right now rather than ordering a 2025. Any 2 DR buyer, esp. one who wants 2.7 and/or signature lights, really has to buy a 2024.

Looks like you can’t get the locking rear diff as a stand alone anymore. If you try to add it it forces you to add the SAS.
The only way to get a rear diff lock is black diamond which is only available in 4 door big bend. What the suck, Ford hates the 2 door is clear. I hoped in a few years to add a 2 door BD or Heritage.

Aux switches don’t seem to be a standalone option on either the base or Big Bend, that really sucks. I hate that the 2 door Big Bend is no more, that would make more sense than a 2 door base with how close they are in price.

65k for an entry Badlands 4 door with auto, mod bumper. Thats nuts. Had no plans to replace my 2.3 Badlands anyways. Other than the V6 needed to get auto, the other sprinkled on glitter that’s now standard is hardly worth it.

I totally understand that except all the parts exist for the model so the are no real extra carrying costs. The V6 doesn't know if it's going in a 2-door or 4-door. Same for both. Everything in the engine compartment is the same. It's optional in the 4-door but not the two door does not make sense. The Stroppe is ass ugly and way over priced. I don't see that lasting in the line up.

I get what you are saying, but there is a significant cost to maintain multiple parts on an assembly line. From the manufacturing side you have "poke yoke" systems to make sure the right part is loaded. Complexity adds cost even if the parts are current and already exist. There is a bunch of cost to maintain systems that are not obvious

Yes, I was so happy when Ford offered and delivered my $28k Bronco. It was a nice deal at the time, and due to the included hardtop, actually a better deal than a comparable Wrangler (let's leave MIC issues out of it, lol).

But fast forward, today I can order a base 2025 Wrangler for $32k, while a base Bronco will cost $38k. That's a $6k difference to get into a vehicle. And it seems due to a current $2k Wrangler incentive, it's actually an $8k difference.

Big spending generally seems the M.O. here on 6G (even by people who have little if any need for the expensive additional functionalities), but in terms of offering a 4x4 that a budget conscious buyer can get into at the lowest price, Jeep has Ford beat.

I think base Jeeps are good values but adding packages like $4500 automatic... make it stupidly expensive.

I am disappointed in Ford. I think they foresee interest rates falling and thus kept their prices high and my guess is there will be a price increase for Job 2 if interest rates get cut drastically in 2025.
