The parking brake switch though... now THAT is wired backwards. You shouldn't have to push in to release the parking brake, doesn't even make sense.
but don't you generally PULL a parking brake handle to engage it? Likewise then, PUSHING the handle disengages it.

That's how my GTI does it. Pull it up to engage, click the button and "push" it (back down) to disengage. And come to think of it, I had a '72 Corona with a T-shaped parking brake handle under the dash; pull it (out) to engage, turn and push it (back in) to disengage.

But then there's the foot brakes; push with your foot to engage, pull the handle to disengage it.

I was initially hesitant about the foot-operated parking brakes where you push to engage, then push AGAIN to disengage. Now THAT makes no sense. But it didn't actually confuse me in daily operation...

I’ve hit the wrong one a few times. I’m just happy it didn’t get the dial shifter.

Here’s a tip , just before you reach for the window button think about which button it is for a 1/2 a second and you’ll be good every time , soon you can forget about that 1/2 second :)(y)

The window switches work properly and anyone who says differently has their brain wired backwards. :p

Honestly though, I've never had an issue with them, very natural. My wife, on the other hand, completely agrees with you and constantly complains about how the switches are wired upside down.

The parking brake switch though... now THAT is wired backwards. You shouldn't have to push in to release the parking brake, doesn't even make sense. But I've been told they've since corrected that sometime late 2022/early 2023.

If someone told me the Bronco's interior designers had hours-long meetings devoted to the correct wiring of window & parking brake switch, I would not at all be surprised.
No it's still backward from every other vehicle I have ever owned. Change in late 22 was they changed which side it pivots on.

dude, the dial shifter is no big deal.

I'll go so far as to say if you're confused by a dial shifter, you have absolutely no business driving at all.

I've put a decent amount of ass time in the seat of the Bronco and I have to say, I am still lowering the rear window most of the time before I realize I have my finger on the wrong button, and have to raise up the rear window and then lower the driver window - and yes I go through Dunkin Drive Through way too much.
And yes 2 door crowd, I know what you are going to say. 😒😁

So I'm wondering, has anyone flipped the switches to put the front windows on top and the back windows on the bottom?

And am I the only one who's brain refuses to get on bord with the switch positioning? o_O
I don’t care how you tried to limit the carnage, I’m still gone say it….. Whinny ass Moor Door drivers just complain and complain about their lifted Explorers.

We proper 2 Dr drivers feel it all just feels natural and have no complaints. Why? BECAUSE A BRONCO HAS ONLY 2 DOORS!!!

There, I feel better, don’t you? :ROFLMAO:

Id love to switch them. (No pun intended)

I inadvertently roll down the rear windows all the time.

Happens to me quite a bit--because my arm is typically on the arm rest and I have hard to program myself to dangle my hand a bit lower till my fingers touch the consul and then those will be the correct switches. Still its a 50/50 shot

The electric parking brake system sucks, should be a mechanical system. That said, in my mind, it works in the correct direction (you pull a lever to actuate properly-located parking brake levers, so it’s correct to pull the parking brake switch). Foot-operated parking brakes are just wrong, especially in vehicles with manual transmissions!! What Ford really missed the boat on is the location for the parking brake switch!! It should be located in the center console!!

My problem is reaching for window switches on the center consoles of my Mustang and Super Duty. Guess I need to move those switches!!
