Super excited about them and they look extremely promising & worthy successors to the KO2—which in my opinion is among the best all-terrain tires of all time.

BUT.... none of the good 35s sizes have been released yet. So it's a waiting game for me.

Have had K03s for over a year on my 2003 F150. Honestly, first off, I don’t drive on the edge, but they don’t seem a lot better than the K02s on our Raptor. Probably just because the K02 was already so good, so any little improvement the K03 brings isn’t going to show unless driving on the edge. At least on a daily driver, sometimes tiny trails, I haven’t noticed a difference.

This guy knows a lot more about tires than I do. He convinced me that there is a LOT of difference between the K02 and K03. They are even made with a totally modernized and different type of tool and process. The K02s are great but they are definitely outdated in terms of tech, features, design and manufacturing. Tires like the MT Baja Boss have also eclipsed the old faithful K02 in about every area.

I put KO3's (33") on my 2024 2 door Big Bend. My main interest is to see how they do in cold weather daily driving (I am 2 hours north of Toronto), in the hopes I can avoid dedicated winter tires. For me, it isn't about starting, but rather the stopping. Dedicated winter tires, with the softer compound, is what I have always used in the past. Fingers crossed!

As a Vermonter, I’m eager to hear from you and others about how well these do in winter as well. I’d like to avoid the winter tire switch too and am about to go through my first full winter on the stock KO2s over here. They did just fine in February / March right after I got mine, but I didn’t get to test them in all conditions yet.

I ran them for 20+ years on my 2001 Toyota Tacoma and could never exceed 40,000 miles before they were worn out. I love the styling though.

It's not a full set but: after geting two sidewall cuts on Pearl Pass in CO last month, I put two KO3s on the rear (315/70R17 Load Range C), keeping two KO2s on front with 10K miles. Then ran various trails up and down Roaring Fork Valley, and once home in TX - highway driving and local city runs. Nothing wet yet, and no snow either - but otherwise they seem great and I have great confidence in them all around. The extra weight over the KO2s has been mentioned but I don't notice it, my power boost mods probably help overcome that.

To the best of my knowledge BFG does not make the KO3 in this size as a Load Range C. I have a set of KO3 315/70R17F on order for our Gen 2 Raptor. My tire guy said Load Range F is only available in this size. It appears a Load Range D will be released in 2025.

The KO2s did well in the past and looking forward to trying the new KO3s in Alaska.

I stand corrected - typed C out of habit from knowing the KO2s. That said, I don't mind the heavier load rating the way we load up the Bronco for drives across country and the level it gets pushed on rougher mountain trails while aired down on the bead grip Methods. Big Bend is next for a road and trail test.

Should be an awesome tire. Hope they work really good for you.
We are looking forward to winter driving on the new KO3s.
Cheers

I picked up a set of 5 285/70/17 C in early September from Discount Tire and am loving them so far. Since I have the 2.7 and 4.27 gears, the size and weight seem to be a perfect match - not sluggish at all upon takeoff, but I always thought the stock Duellers felt bit too lurchy/torquey for the engine/gearing. They do like to eat smaller gravels (not any worse than the Duellers really), but the stone ejectors really seem to work once I hit 25 mph+. I am very happy I was able to retain my crash bars and Rockblox mud flaps as some of the gravel ejections would have been hell on the doors from the sound of them hitting the undercarriage! So far zero issues in rainy conditions, which was a concern I had hoped BFG really did address from the KO2s. Southern WV snow should start flying any week now, so I’m looking forward to testing snow performance asap.
