2022 Base Squatch 2.7 - Oil Leak

New owner (Nov. 2022). I only have about 300 miles on my 2022 Base 2dr 2.7 Sasquatch, but now I have an oil leak. Noticed a dinner plate-sized puddle underneath after it had been sitting in the garage for a week. I'm beyond annoyed. Everything looks clean from up top, but underneath - it looks like it's coming from the rear main seal. I waited over >1 yr for this vehicle, and now this. Thanks Ford.
I noticed a few other posts from other owners with a similar issue. Just adding mine here on top of those. Does anyone have an idea regarding a timeline to repair something like this?

Rear main seal! Keep an eye after repair, had to do mines twice!

Man, wasn't expecting this when I came out to the garage this morning. Its my daughters 22 BD SAS, she drove off to school and I just happened to look over and saw this. Mind you we have never been off roading, she drives about 200 miles a week. 2.7 liter V6, 32k miles on the clock. She parks backwards in the garage, so that chock block is the passenger side rear wheel location. I scheduled an appointment to have it looked at. I am coming from high end AMG Mercedes, where they dont say if its covered by warranty, if the car is under warranty they fix it. The local ford service guys kept on saying we have to take a look and "if its covered by warranty" we will get it fixed. I said what is "if its covered by warranty?" The car has a 36k 3yr warranty and we are in that, plus this is part of the powertrain. Anyways, there was not a single drop of oil here this weekend, so wondering if this is the rear seal or something like a bad differential. This is ALOT of oil, and its relatively clean oil, not like engine oil that turns dark brown. I told her I will have to look at it when she gets home. Anyone have a seal or gasket that sh+t the bed like this?

It will be covered by warranty, or you go to another dealer.. I just dealt with a rear main seal leak at 40,000 miles.. 100% covered by powertrain warranty

I am sure it will be. That's alotta oil. Never seen a leak turn into something that apparent over 24 hours.

Mine did the same thing.. got back from a trip, parked in the garage, backed out, and there was probably a good 4 ounces of oil on the floor.. took almost 8 weeks to get an appointment for the seal replacement. in that 8 weeks, i checked the oil daily, topped it off constantly, and drove a solid 8,000 miles or more. what a royal pain it was.

Its going in tomorrow for an evaluation and diagnostic. Was told that its $235 bucks and if they warranty it, they cover that fee. So that main seal leak is engine oil?

Welp, this one is interesting. The leak wasn't an engine oil leak, it was the entire passenger side rear Bilstein HOSS 2.0 Shock. It basically suffered a catastrophic failure that made it leak ALL OF THE HYDRAULIC fluid out of the shock, onto the garage floor. Now I will add that I live in the suburbs of Illinois, and we have never done any sort of offroading, nor hill climbing, or anything all that awesome as we live in the second flattest state in the union.

What's frustrating is this---> The Bilstein Shock is on national backorder for what could be weeks or months. 37 other Bronco Badlands owners ahead of me. The dealer strongly advised to NOT drive the Bronco on the highway, in fact he said to not drive it all, as the defective shock has no fluid in it, and will create an UNSAFE bouncing over uneven surfaces, and create uneven tire wear in the process ( cupping). Since I did not buy the vehicle from a local dealer, I have no way to get into a loaner car, and to give my daily to my daughter to drive ( I know first world problems), so this leaves me pretty upset and figured you all should know that someone as simple as a shock absorber ( remember this is a badlands sasquatch marketed and built for some offroading right?) can sideline a vehicle for what could be weeks or months? Dealer has no idea. We are 2 years POST COVID, I am seeing 30,000 brand new broncos for sale today, and your telling me you haven't planned to have a bin full of shock absorbers for the parts guys? Come on Ford! You have to do better than this. Especially when I am entrusting your brand to keep my kid safe. I get it, things fail, but the HOSS 2.0 shocks were purpose built with Bilstein, and marketed like this:

I am pretty upset by the news, thankfully I noticed the leak and it happened in my garage. If this happened in a parking lot or at school where she parks, I am not sure we ever would have known how unsafe the Bronco was.

Sorry for the rant, I was on the cusp of buying myself a Bronco Raptor ( literally have been trying for the past month find the right one and right deal) and now I am rethinking that altogether.
