36,600 miles. Went to perform an oil change and discovered what looks to be a rear main seal leak :( yes, I know it’s muddy under there.

That's exactly what it is. After getting it warrantied the first time, about 8,000 MI after had to get it replaced again

how is yalls Bronco after this. My 2022 Wildtrak with the 2.7L has finally started leaking from the Rear Main Seal. It's currently getting serviced at Ford. Did this issue happen again afterwards or is it a one and done issue? What may have caused it? Or is it simply Ford cutting corners and installing cheap defective parts?

Just curious, what would something like this probably cost without the warranty coverage? Making me think perhaps the extended warranty for powertrain may not be such a bad idea after all. I still have plenty of time (13k, 1 year old), but typically don't buy an extended warranty as I've not yet had a repair on any car that justified its cost. But...this is my first Ford, and I do plan on keeping it for the long haul.

Depends on shop labor rate
Roughly ~$2500 for labor alone before tax at $180/hour

This is also my 1st Ford and I did the same thing as a precaution. Thankfully I am still covered by the 5/60K. I was always weary of Ford and the bad rap they tend to get in terms of quality ... but I fell in love with my Bronco and really do enjoy it. I plan on keeping my Bronco for the long run too.

Hi, Grainger, yes my name Tommy. I understand you put the warranty label on the box, correct? I need one of those boxes.

@Ducati1098 they are finally working on it now. Has this been a common issue with the Broncos? They said it was a pretty bad leak about a quarter of oil or so. Thankfully its all covered under warranty.

Yeah pretty common on some of them. I've seen a handful of threads with the same issue.
