Depending upon your options, the box near the mirror houses among others, the automatic high/low beam sensors, auto-braking/collision avoidance sensors. lane keeping sensors, there might be others that I am not aware of or do not have on my base model. Also, the oil specs are in the owners manual, you just have to search a little bit to find them.

The Box behind the rearview mirror is the Camera for the Copilot 360 systems. It manages auto high beams, lane departure, collision avoidance, and automatic emergency braking (in conjunction with the radar sensor in the bumper if equipped with Automatic Cruise control).

It has been said that the installed sensors are the same as vehicles with rain sensing but we lack the software. Instead our wiper motors have overheat sensors which can shut off wipers in the middle of a monsoon

I been around cars my whole life and worked Chevy parts for 45 years so I know some but not all. This Ford is new to me. Thanks

OMG serious questions, how about some serious answers. Next question I have is what kind of oil to use? <G> [dont answer this!]
Hahaha...Lighten up. How about a serious Bronco Owner who purchases or downloads an "owners manual" for the $65K vehicle they just purchased, so that they can do the work themselves and not rely on the charity of others. A simple word search of, "windshield" and "mounted" produced these pages in the manual. Your welcome.

Thank you, I have the manual. Not very specific. I have searched. Its not very specific sometimes. Old school here, not a fan of the new electronics. Due to the multiple functions of that windshield unit, Im just curious as to what all it controls.

Mostly what that box does is send you error messages, when foggy out, when it snows heavily, when there's bug buildup one the windshield, sadly even the Base package gets that box.
