Please don't buy from Extreme Terrain

Hey all,

I bought open box special from Extreme Terrian for these Morimoto lights.

Morimoto XRGB LED Headlights

OK It was open box, rep said just some scratches. I was cool with that. I got the lights and installed them about 2 weeks later. About 3 weeks in I found that the passenger side light round LED light now a has discoloration spot, and it has been 1 week too long to return. They said they were willing to give me a 15% discount on a new pair. That would make the pair cost about $1,800 after shipping.

I guess just a heads up, so long Extreme Terrain for my use.

I talked to the rep, they said they were tested, AND they worked fine when I installed them. If they were busted when received, I would have returned them that day. Problem is you don't look at your lights everyday, but after 3 weeks come on, that is selling junk.

I just purchased & returned an item with Extreme Terrain (track bar bracket that I found out right away is not compatible with Eibach 2.0s, no fault of Extreme Terrain's) and the return process was painless.

I can see your frustration that you can't return a defective item, but it is really Morimoto's failure. I would see if there is any recourse with them.

It's a reminder to install/test your product as soon as possible as return windows don't last forever. It's not a real warranty period.. and buying an open box item you do take some extra risk vs new.

An open box special from anyone is a crap shoot!

Open box through a drop shipper yeah that's asking for issues. All risk IMO.
