So I got a question, this site that likes to Ban people for just assuming what you were thinking. but has a sponsor who has defrauded its users and they are not banned

I believe they (ADV) are shadowed banned (ie: they don't appear to be banned but do not have posting privileges).

My attorney basically said the same about small claims court - it might be the only way to go. Hate to say it but the quicker you file might increase the chances you get paid before they run out of $$$. They might pay the first few judgements.......

I went on the APG website and they don't show ADV as a partner. So maybe ADV is blowing smoke?
APG lists several companies I've done business with, Trail Recon, Grimmspeed, Rallysport Direct and Northdride4x4.

I’ll be starting the small claims process shortly. Hopefully a court ordered liquidation will make right with everyone who got screwed.

Yeah, from talking to a handful of company reps at trade shows... they cannot post on this forum unless they pay for sponsorship. Giving companies access to the wider community here is part of the forum's business model (along with the ads).

ADV Fiberglass is no longer listed as a sponsor. No idea when that happened, nor do I know if it was the forum admins that ripped it away, or if ADV Fiberglass simply canceled their sponsorship. But either way, my guess is they probably couldn't post even if they wanted to.

Yes. When a sponsor no longer continues the financial support of the site (whether determined by themselves or the admin), the account's posting privileges are revoked. It in effect amounts to a "shadow ban".

I've advised others who might have an idea of selling (beyond the community marketplace) a product to create a separate handle so all posts/conversations regarding a product fall under that handle. Once the sponsor relationship ends, that account can not revert back to a private member's account.

June 4th was when but don't know if they pulled the plug of if admin did. My guess is they stopped paying for sponsor ship because the knew what was going to happen and they wannted to to bury their head in the sand like they do.

I hear, but haven't paid for the OF evidence, that there's been a lot of plug pulling in this fiasco.
