I may ramble a little here, I apologize.

Preface: ’21 2 door badlands, hoss 2.0 steering, stock cv axels, icon stage 7 w/3” in lift, fake 35” bfg’s., extra inner tie rods.

Looking for opinions on geometry. I have never lifted a vehicle before. When I set this thing up I really didn’t consider geometry my mind set was “oh that aint that much or different or it’s not really extreme.

Then I really never considered it again. But for the last year or so I been hitting some more challenging terrain 5-7 rated so cal trials and sand hollow. Still not extreme. But recently I been starting to consider geometry and what is proper and safe ranges.

Most rides I go on my set up is usually among the smallest in the group. Another reason I never thought about this before. But I have not really checked their stuff out all that close or had too many discussions on the subject

I’m not here looking to here dooms day horror stories but I’ll still listen, what I’m hoping for and it seems like some in my build level would probably fall close to what I have done to this build and drive similar terrain. What their feeling and are and if they have any concerns about there set up or from anyone knowledgeable on the subject.

I read 18* is at the high end of safe range for the cv’s, I assume this is at full droop, Correct? I like my ride ht. but I’m considering on lowering the lift a little to hopefully correct geometry. I don’t mind pushing it a little but I don’t want to be set up for a major break down that leaves me FUCT when I’m out there.

If you still here listening to this ramble, thank you and I’d appreciate your input.

I was going to ask that!

Icon usually retains the correct geometry unless you start going crazy with the shocks.

Post pics of your front end.

I can't even navigate the Kroger parking lot on 315/70R17's, how am I supposed to go on a dirt road without 37s?

Or at least that's what the neighbor lady said, and she owns a Jeep Cherokee, so she must know what she is talking about.

BTW, you don't need more than 1/2" lift and the right offset rims to run fully flexed on 315/70R17's.

sorry fake 35'a are 315/70r/17 I thought people would get it, yes non sas
See above, non-sasquatch Bronco on BFG KO2's (34.4" actual). You can do a front axle diff drop and stop worrying about it as much.

Lift doesn’t really buy you clearance - it just gives you room for the tires, which is where your clearance comes from. Those pesky LCAs, shock mounts and rear diff don’t move when you add lift.

ideally, you want the minimum amount of lift to run your tires without severe rubbing

for the stock m190 axles - yes 18 degrees is the number from what I’ve been told. Most aftermarket and m210 axles can go to 28~ish degrees. Or at least from what I’ve gathered around here. If you have the front locker you have the m210

front axle diff drop or portals are how most people are addressing that when they need to

I get the low hanging parts bit but a little belly clearance is nice too. portals might be cool but they aren't in the cards right now.
A diff drop is something I'm considering but not sure I want to do that in the driveway. But if 28 degrees is actually in a reasonably safe range that makes me feel a lot better.

Is that fully flexed with the swaybar disconnected?

That’s fully flexed out in the parking lot, maximum droop. It's not rubbing or scraping anywhere.

I do take it off-road though.

Sway bar was not disconnected in any of the pictures I posted, mostly because it didn't need to be at the time.

I have disconnected the sway bar in the past, just not in these pictures.
