I’m considering switching over to these tires when my factory tires wear out, I lost one in Ouray when a rock sliced through the tread not the side wall. I’m wondering how they compare to our Goodyear Wrangler Sasquatch tires. I’m thinking of the D rated 35’s. How’s the ride, noise, gas mileage etc.
Thanks

I quickly dumped the stock SAS GY Territories after punching two holes through the tread from rocks on a rough gravel road. They're junk offroad. Went with the Baja Boss AT's after running then on my Rubicon. 18,000 Miles later, not a single issue after wheeling it pretty hard. They are 18 pounds heavier per tire for 35's. It will cost you about 2 miles/gallon and you'll watch the turbo boost rev higher on starts, but if you're offroad a lot, you don't have much choice. Ford went super light on the Territories to boost the gas mileage on road. You won't find another tire anywhere near the Territory weight that also offers offroad durability.

I had two sets of these on my Rubicon and got 45K miles after a 5 tire rotation. I'll be putting another set on the Bronco when these wear out.

I'll add that I went E rated. Noise is no worse than the Territories IMO. I usually air down to 20 PSI off road and run 38 PSI on road. They're a bit more harsh on road with small bumps or potholes, but that's to be expected with E rated tires. I'm not sure how the D's will do. Probably better on road but perhaps less bomber offroad with less wheel weight? Might be a worthy tradeoff. I'm offroad in very remote places so I wanted the mist durable option. I went 315/R17 BTW, not 35's, but the Baja Boss is nearly identical in tire diameter.

I had some on my bronco they were a great tire did excellent on everything just really heavy. Mine did start to cup a little and cause a little bump steer. Make sure you rotate them on time.

I have about 2K on my "D" rated. Lost about 1 mpg and they do not seem any louder than the territory. I run 34 cold and air down to about 24 on trails as some trails are groomed or there is pavement between trails.

I plan to rotate them every oil change (3K).

I had these on my Bronco and loved them. Loved them so much I got a slightly smaller size of them for my Tundra too.

Can't speak to the fuel economy, but I found/find they aren't much louder than the OEM tires. They handle very well in the rain and dry conditions, but haven't had an opportunity to try them in snow/ice. Everything I read about them, and reviews from folks on B6G spoke very highly of these tires. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them.

I wish they were available in a 37x13.50x17. They’d be on my new BR now....

I almost have 10k on mine, they are a bad azz tire, the construction of the tire is next level to any other AT out there. I have put them through the paces in the rocks etc, no issues and do really well.

Traded our factory Goodyear's with maybe 1200 miles on them and got $200 each at tire store.
Ours are E rated and would not redo the decision. On a Bronco they are over kill but we bought them for rocky roads that we drive everyday at home. We also drive to many places in the USA west with very sharp rock roads and this tire is fine. Punctures have not happen and should be very rare. Traction in rock, dirt and snow is just fine.

We did a careful chalk test and found that our 2 Door Black Diamond gave full thread contact around 29-30 PSI. The pressure give an OK ride but being a rugged built, deep thread tire it has some noise and is a little hard riding. But again, we would not undo this decision for another tire choice. They Work Well.

23k on my 37” D rated and still loving them. I do a 5 tire rotation and there’s still a ton of meat on them. Work great in the rain and snow. Well, never really chomped through deep snow but they are 3 peak rated. As for mud, I’m not a fan so I have no clue how they would perform but I’m guessing, like other A/T’s, crappy.

I run the lower load SL Baja Boss so cant speak to the heavier versisions, but my tire guy said they balanced about as easily as possible for an AT tire and they've behaved great in both the wet and dry, we'll see about snow this winter.

I would say the Baja Boss A/Ts are more aggressive than the factory Goodyears for sure. I have about 10k miles on mine and love them. They do great in the rain and on the trail.

Thanks for all of the input, that’s about what my conclusions were after doing research. I wanted feedback from folks that actually had them on their Broncos. After I lost one tire in Ouray I decided I needed a more durable tire. Thanks again.
